I had him in a mock draft a couple months ago because I saw that he fit that mold of a tall safety with athleticism, and he'd be underrated massively because he missed his senior year with a shoulder injury. He's a CB convert, so there are certain skills that translate, but he's also a physical player so the adjustment won't be too difficult. I haven't heard much buzz about him since the Shrine Game, but he killed his personal workouts after not getting any invite for the combine. I'd love to get him.

Thanks GH. I don't know anything about him other than his pro day results but as you say he seems to fit a need and he could come cheap. It looks like the Jets were at his pro day so we'll see where that goes.

That's great to hear, I can't think of any other OSU prospects that would require a look at the pro day. He's a great special teamer too, so a mid rd pick would bring immediate benefits. I'm really glad this thread came up, those numbers at his size really make him an outstanding option in the mid rds.

He looks like he can hit like a ton of bricks. How are his coverage/playing the ball in the air skills?

Athletically everything is there. He's not Sean Taylor, but he's better than most others his size. His major questions are about his shoulder/willingness to put it through the rigors of playing safety.

It sucks that this is the reality we're facing, but the Jets have really ignored the position for quite some time. At some point, you have to get guys with the athleticism to develop into competent starters at the position. This guy is definitely intriguing.
