I figured it would be smart to have any updates on visits all in one thread instead of all over the place. First visit (at least from what I’ve heard) is with Robert Turbin, RB, Utah. Per Manish: How will Jets' bolster their backfield under new OC Tony Sparano? Well, Utah State's Robert Turbin will be visiting NYJ, per source. Robert Turbin (5-10, 220lbs) rushed for 1,517 yards (6.1 ypc), 23 total TDs as a junior en route to WAC Offensive POY honors. http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/je...back-robert-turbin-to-visit-jets-before-draft
I'll Update this post as we have players visit with the Jets, a link is required. Player Visits: Robert Turbin, RB, Utah State Bruce Irvin, DE/OLB, WVU Trumaine Johnson, CB/S, Montana Brandon Taylor, S, LSU
Definitely wouldn't mind seein him next year lined up in the backfield. Now I wana start seeing some OLB and RT get added to the list
I wish they would bring Doug Martin in for a visit and not let him leave......keep him kidnapped until the draft!!!
Robert Turbin, RB, Utah St to visit Jets Rex Ryan joked this offseason that if the Jets have to run it 50 times per game in 2012, they’ll run it 50 times per game. If the Jets have to pass it 50 times per game, well, they’ll run it 50 times per game. The Jets’ renewed commitment to the ground-and-pound philosophy that helped them reach consecutive AFC Championship Games may prompt them to draft a running back next month. The Daily News has learned that Utah State running back Robert Turbin will visit the Jets on April 9th in the run-up to the draft next month. New offensive coordinator Tony Sparano will likely be looking for a backfield complement to Shonn Greene. The 5-10, 220-pound Turbin rushed for 1,517 yards (6.1 ypc) and 19 touchdowns during his junior season en route to Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors. Turbin, a projected third-round pick by various scouting services, ran a 4.5 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine a few weeks ago. http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/je...back-robert-turbin-to-visit-jets-before-draft
I made a prospect visiting thread yesterday so we dont have a ton of threads here all over the place about each player
If he moves some muscle from the top half of his body to the lower half of his body he can be a very good pick for us in rd 3...

Which is what we lack on our roster... We need a 3rd down back, and adding a back who wasnt in on 3rd down because he couldnt pass protect is questionable to say the least.
well they can bring in every RB on the board but if they do not sure up the defense its not going to matter...... if the defense averages 16-17 pts per game which is pretty good - it wont be good enough. its gonna be a cluster fuk out there if u want to run the ball u absolutely have to have a top 5 defense bar none.
I think Tony would be a great pick in the 3rd or 4th, after we address WR, LB, and possibly another RB (Turbin perhaps?)
Why wouldn't we be top 5? We have every year Ryan has been here. Granted we need safeties but they seem to be getting after that.
I'm a little confused here. If the defense is giving up 16 ppg, it won't be enough to win? What is going to be a cluster fuck?
