I believe Brick handled Mario just fine in 2009 and 2010 as well. It's not Brick I'm worried about. We can assume he's gonna line up against Hunter at some point. That's scary.

Yeah thats an excellent strategy, lets hope the bills are stupid enough not to line their best weapon up against our weakest OL.

It doesn't seem like we've even tried speaking with linesmen yet this off season. This signing does make it more important to secure the line.

Definitely a scary signing. Bills are moving in the right direction quickly. They have a great running back and they are building their defense.

Training camp must be hell. Let Westhoff run conditioning. Break the team off instill discipline. Abyz wrote a great article for TGG a few months back.

    Discipline!

Regardless of Mario, I wish the jets would sign a fucking o lineman. Hunter+Duccasse better not be their plan

I do not anticipate any improvement from either player. "Stupid is what stupid does" Those guys are a couple of idiots I do not want protecting my QB.

I do not want to watch a game next year saying to myself in agony, "Why, did we knowingly go into the season with the same idiots that couldn't get the job done last year." The right side of the line is a HUGE concern that needs to be addressed first. Or our qb is going to get killed.

    so true

This guy says things just to say them. I also doubt Wayne Hunter will be the starter.

I never even heard of Mario Williams before FA started. Like one of you said, he didn't give us any trouble in 09 and 10. As long as Hunter isn't on the field, I don't think much will change when the Jets play the Bills.

Fact of the matter is he will be lining up against Brick most of the time because thats his blind side, but to not put him against Hunter at points in the game would be crazy. Plain and simple, having a guy like Hunter as your tackle is putting your QB in the crosshairs. Which is why there is 0% chance he's your starting right tackle next year.

    lol

Is he really that famous? The only non-Jets players I know are offensive ones, because of fantasy. I really never heard of this dude until a few weeks ago lol.

The Texans surprised a lot of people in '06 by taking him #1 overall instead of Vince Young. We were picking early that year and there were a lot of Jets fans hoping he'd fall to us at #4. He's a beast of a pass rusher and a great athlete. He's had some injury problems the last couple of years, but no knees or concussions or anything that should be long term concerns IMO.

"One last note from today: Buf def coord Dave Wannstedt told me Mario Williams will play LE in Bills' 4-3. RTs of AFC East getting nervous."

The problem with that is the DE can move after the tackle lines up in his stance. The tackles can't swap spots after that.
