"I know it can work between us," Sanchez told beat writers before the Randall's Island Sports Foundation gala in Manhattan. "It's not a question of if, it's just a matter of when -- and that's now." Minutes earlier, in an interview on the Michael Kay Show on ESPN 1050 in New York, Sanchez fired back at the players -- quoted anonymously -- that attacked him in newspaper articles. "It is a gutless thing to do," he said. Later, in the 25-minute sitsdown, Sanchez added: "If you're not going to put your name on something, why waste anybody's time? Sanchez must be taking his Testosterone Pills. Next thing you know, he'll start swearing and drinking and getting in trouble. Perhaps he'll spend some of that cash on Proactiv and take care of those adolescent blemishes.
Not sure if Sanchez is taking testosterone pills as the other reply mentioned above, but at least he's standing up for himself.

I love it! Sanchez is going to be playing with a chip on his shoulder and that can do nothing but benefit us.
This is where Sanchez needs to make improvements. Forget the on the field stuff...he is what he is.Love it or hate it, it can win football games. He usually makes enough plays to win high score or low score.End of story. Leadership is his biggest need. Now he has natural charisma, great command & is bright. But he needs to learn to take charge & show more of that competitive side. He can rally people.But he needs to realize that & start acting like a veteran.

sanchez has always talked a good talk. he's usually saying the right things in interviews. this is all a few months late though. what no. sanchez definitely needs to improve more on the field than off of it. i think most sanchez fans have hope that he has not peaked yet.

He should have said this the day after the comments... Now that he is locked up, he opens his mouth........ But he does suck at times...Sucks miserably...So there is some truth but those players are gutless for being anonymous...
Seeing him get up from some of the monster hits he took and almost never miss a snap it's hard to see how you could call his play "gutless". On the other hand, his poor body language and lack of command on the field last season definitely made him look like a weak leader. He needs to step up his leadership game as much as anything this season, but the kid has at least proven that he's one tough fucker.
