Out of curiosity, from game tape does Vlad generally get beaten physically (e.g. struggles 1 on 1 with defenders) or mentally (misses his blocking assignment)? If it's the latter, he might do a lot better in a man blocking scheme. It should be interesting to see how he looks after OTAs and whatnot.
It sounds to me as if the Jets don't see an affordable RT option in FA. I think this means they will address it in the draft. Then again, the free agent period has been open for all of 17 hours...........
They better find somebody..if all the rumors are true and Buffalo signs Williams today then there is a pretty good chance that Sanchez will get killed in one of those two games we play them this year.

If WFH was really ANY good in his previous tenures to warrant the promotion to starting status, don't you think he would have earned it in his 20's? Because of the new CBA, coaches aren't currently allowed to work with players until official OTA's. That is why Sanchez has been working with Pennington to learn Miami's old playbook and terminology.
I think it was mentally, not knowing who to block more than not being able to block them. He also had no offseason which definitely hurts a raw lineman like him. The reason we all are speculating on Vlad is because he has the raw physical skills and Tony likes running a man blocking scheme. Hopefully this means Vlad can be a serviceable lineman, we will see.
Incorrect sir. Vladimir Ducasse will not be able to be a competent blocker on the New York Jets this year. It has been decided by the great Abyzmul already. You can schedule to request an audience on behalf of Ducasse's potential for this time next year maybe if you ask nicely.
