I'd guess it's for smaller violations of the same salary directive.

you can't can assume that at all considering the NFL has ruled on that.

there is no way the NFL would exclude them from such a benefit when nothing has even come of that situation yet.

Surprised Tanny didnt do this. Good to see other teams getting the bad press. Thank you Skins, Cowboys, Saints for bounty gate.

The skins took a hit, but they were 31+ mil under gonig in. So if the split the money into two years, they are still 15 mil under the cap, and can move money around.

Why would you be surprised Tanny didn't do. of all his criticism, being a cap moron isn't one of them.

the team's knew that they couldn't exceed this threshold so why would Tanny do so?

Completely unrelated to frontloading contracts, but didn't J Jones criticize Tanny for dumping contracts (Jenx, Woody etc.) just before the uncapped year?
Turned out to be a smart move but I thought some GM criticized the timing of it

Either Mehta fails at math or the report is inaccurate.

On one hand the cap space is reported to be 14.5M, and with 1.6M added to it, it will be 16.1M, not 15.1M. So either 14.5M cap figure is wrong, or 1.6M is wrong, or Mehta fails simple addition. Which one of the three is true?

    14.5M figure seems wrong - http://nyjetscap.com/salary.html says it's 13.5M, not 14.5M.
