Do you realize that even if the Jets offered the most Money of all the teams that Peyton's people talked to. He would not come here! If he was contacted directly by the Jets or If Woody and the Boys showed up at his door he would have politely said " Sorry I do not want to play for your team". This was a dead Issue even before 10 Threads to no where! Tanny will eventually get fired because he keeps Crafting these Deal with Guaranteed money and eventually we will have dead money owed to players not on our team either due to failed performance or because of long term injuries.
Overpaid, plain and simple. Overpaid. Sanchez hasn't earned a thing in this league. Didn't earn the starting job, didn't earn his money. And be honest, the defense and running game carried this kid the first 2 years. That's the truth. I don't give a shit what his contract is, he should still have to compete for the job in camp with whoever they bring in.
Yeah 17-6 lead in crunch time, and 2 missed FGs to go along with that. Sanchez deserved to play in Super Bowl 44. To bad his team couldnt close the game out. Im sure if that was Eli Manning, his team would have closed the game out. Hell Eli would just have to stand there and watch the other teams returner muff 2 punts and hand him the keys to the Super Bowl and not have to to do a damn thing but just suck.
Or he’s on his way to ordering a number 18 Broncos jersey for "his QB". Im gonna miss him and his love for a QB thats not on the Jets :/ Oh well. Im disappointed in myself that I dont remember what episode this is from... Im sure he’s feeling something along the lines of the traditional Michael Scott “NOOOOOOO” clip
Just yesterday you were saying how much Sanchez sucked. Now that it's obvious to you that Manning is not coming here, you want to run into Sanchez's arms? Lol lovely
I look at like this... Sanchez was starting no matter what in 2012. Peyton Manning was not a reasonable option and the Jets might have realized that from the start. So you free up space using his salary and swing for 2012. I'm not sure the details but this is a cuttable contract in 2014 (I saw the initial numbers then on ESPN bottomline said locks him into the starting job through 2013). So if he sucks in 2012 regardless of what you do with the rest of 2012 you're stuck 2013 either with a crappy QB or a rookie and/or veteran retread on a team with declining talent. That's the worst case: 2013 is disaster. Basically you're just swinging for the fences in 2012 knowing if you suck again you're probably gonna have to re-build anyway.
But if Sanchez is the real thing then you're looking at 1 Super Bowl minimum in the next few years with the opportunity to get more than one.
Aaahhhhh, that would be why. I try and block out season 8 from my memory. The Office without Michael Scott is like the Colts without Peyton Manning.
Well aren't you smart Mr. Reece? Tanny is a dumb MF that gave Sanchez almost $40 mil extension knowing very well that Sanchez sucks. He also could've just tried to trade for probably a 3rd rounder at the least and save tons of money on the cap, but Tanny is, again, a dumb mother ****** and didn't think about it. You seriously think Tanny did this just so he could release Sanchez in 2013 or 2014 when he'll be out of contract anyways? Seriously, did u think?
I'm not the biggest Rich Cimini fan, but I agree with him on this. I just feel disheartened right now.
