Buying means nothing in baseball. If it were the case then shouldn't the Mets or Cubs always be representing the NL in the World Series with their high payrolls? Shouldn't the Red Sox and Yankees always be dueling in the ALCS if the high payrolls decided who won? Ask the Mets and Red Sox how successful their buying and payroll has been recently. 0 playoff wins combined since 2008. 0 playoff appearances since 2009.

Ok, so when you see a QB's head and eyes stare down one receiver from the moment he snaps the ball until he finally forces it to that guy or attempts to look at another guy then just pulls the ball down and takes a sack. Seriously how many times have you seen this kid throw the ball away?

This is why it would be great if fans could access game film. We can never fully figure out what goes on during an NFL play because our view is always on the ball itself. How do we know Sanchez used his peripheral vision and knew not throw somewhere. How do we know that Sanchez didn't miss a wide open WR.

All of this is a good point, but I can only imagine how many times WR's would be open than you already see on the televised version lol.

I'm so sick of everybody blaming the team as a whole. The reason why the team sucked was because of Sanchez. Nothing more, nothing less. He made the receivers worse because he was too busy throwing to the other team. He made the OL worse than it really was because he had no pocket presence. The run game sucked because teams didn't respect the pass and weren't playing honest.

Even a halfway-decent QB would have gotten the Jets into the playoffs and made the team look much better than it really was.

Who gives a shit about his progression when he was still among the worst in the league, relatively-speaking? Get off your high horse: You're defending an awful QB whose only claim to fame is losing in two consecutive AFCCGs. And eating hot dogs, of course.

Mark's progression is so slow, he might be as good say Alex Smith in a couple of years.

We had the #1 defence and #1 ground game in 09 and he couldn't deliver, Then the following year we have the 3rd best D and 4th best rushing with the same result.

Who knows when we'll be able to structure a team like that again, and even if we could it doesn't seem to ever be enough help for Mark.

I have season tickets. You obviously sit at home. I can see the field. You can't. I don't even pretend I can see what Sanchez is looking at or what the progressions are on each play. While I don't claim to be an expert, I can tell you from being at the games that the OL stunk and gave him very little time to throw and, more importantly, the WRs were rarely open this year. They got no separation. While Sanchez did not have a good year, his performance this year had more to do with poor OL play, the decline of the running game, WRs who could not get open, and most of all - a horrible offensive system and awful play calling.

You can repeat what you hear on TV from other ignorant fans, but you are a BS artist if you claim you can tell that Sanchez stared down receivers or missed open receivers while watching from your couch. If you don't think he is a good QB, fine. But don't make up shit.

He didn't deliver? What planet are you on? As a rookie and 2nd year QB he led the team to 6 playoff games, 4 playoff wins, all on the road and all as significant underdogs. He played extremely well in all 6 games and in the two AFC Championship games played very well while the defense blew both games. I am continually amazed at the ignorance of Jets fans.

Yeah. Why blame the whole team when you can take the simpleton route and just blame the QB. Brilliant post. With 45 players on a game day roster, it can't be that the 44 players besides the QB do anything to influence the outcome, right? Why don't we just turn the NFL into a QB competition and eliminate the other players?

    What planet are you on?

Our D and rushing attack "led" us both years, we wouldn't have been in those situations without them, what QB couldn't get a wild card spot with that team?

Then we go on the road both years and our D is exhausted from carring him through the regular season, c'mon bro seriously?

That's your response? The D was exhausted from the regular season? Nice try.

If you can't see the similarities in growth between Eli and Sanchez then I don't know how to help you connect the dots here.

I didn't realize that in today's NFL if a QB doesn't hit the ground running he's automatically shit. I'll get off my high horse the minute you admit you're an idiot.

I MEAN SERIOUSLY PEOPLE. TWO AFC TITLE GAMES IN THREE YEARS. A WINNING RECORD. CONTINUED GROWTH IN EVERY SEASON.

If you don't realize that drafting a QB is a 5 year proposition (unless he blatantly sucks or keeps guzzling down that purple drank) then you don't know the league at all.

Wait, because Sanchez did not win the Super Bowl in the rookie year he is bad. Heres a fun fact, no rookie QB has ever won a Super Bowl. But nope your expectations were SB in the first year?

The second year, do you remember why we lost in Pitt? The defense played like two different defenses in the first and second half. Rex has even come and said nothing strategy wise changed at halftime, the defense just started making tackles. Oh and two second year QBs have won the Super Bowl ever. Brady who went 1 TD and 1 INT the whole postseason and got knocked out of the AFC Championship game in the first quarter. The other QB was Big Ben who got to play Jon Kitna in the first playoff game since Carson went down immediately. Then he had Mike Vanderjagt miss, and then had 3 refs play amazingly well for the Steelers in the SB.

Great stats. Nobody will pay attention to those because they make too much sense.

Come on. This doesn't mean anything! DRHuman told us what happened. The defense was tired from carrying Sanchez and the ball control keep the other team's offense off the field offense during the 09 and 10 seasons. They were tired man! Exhausted! Highly conditioned professional athletes just didn't have that extra gas for the second half of the Indy game and first half of the Pit game. How could you not see that????

All of the above are reasons for Manning to not come here and I am glad.
