Youve had our number for a few games. Yes. Our biggest problem is scoring goals. Of all the playoff teams in the eadst, youve given up the most goals. INexperience in net, youre not at all physical so we would bet you up over a 7 (5) games series.

A "crosbyless" Pitt has won 7 straight and might well pass the Rangers in teh division so to bring them up is silly...There is not a single rational hockey fan that would rather play Pitt over Ottawa dude.....thats just crazy talk...Winnipeg? I should be afraid of Winnipeg? Youre basically saying Ottawa and Winiipeg are scarier than Pitt and Phil? Anyway.........

Pittsburgh have won seven straight - against Tampa, Columbus, Colorado, Phoenix, Toronto, Dallas and the Rangers. Not exactly the most challenging schedule, although you can only beat what's put in front of you. By the same token the Senators had eight wins in a row earlier in the season, you must be terrified of facing them? Stop Malkin, and there's not much left in Pittsburgh without Crosby and Letang.

I didn't say anything about Philly. They're Philly. No-one ever wants to play them, especially in the postseason; they're a team that just finds ways to win.

You're right about the inexperience in net in Ottawa, we have a lot of talent but it's one of the reasons why we won't go deep. Goaltending in the playoffs is always a different proposition, and Lehner and Bishop are young while Anderson isn't consistent enough to take us a long way. Still, it doesn't really matter if the opposition don't bother putting shots on goal, does it?

As for not physical enough, you should try actually watching the games some time. Sens have the biggest side in the entire NHL, the fourth highest PIM/game, and 4 players in the top 40 for total hits in the season. Just because they can skate and play offense from the blue line doesn't mean they don't put it about.

They should have tried that last night. Sens play worse when they get drawn into a bitty, scrappy game - that's probably why they like playing the Rangers, the game is a little more open and it suits the fast skating and puck moving style of the Senators.

Look, I'm not saying the Sens will win the first playoff series regardless of who it's against, nor am I saying that the Sens are a better side than the Rangers. I was having this conversation with Puck a few days ago and we're in agreement that the two sides are in many ways quite similar, but the Rangers are a year or two ahead in their development.

Fact is, at the beginning of the season most of the talking heads had the Senators chasing a lottery pick - just finishing in the playoffs will be an amazing result. We're exactly the sort of team you don't want to play in the post season - everything's a bonus so there's no pressure on the team, and with our offense we can put up a lot of goals to quickly take a game away from the opposition.

Personally, I want the Penguins. They've beaten us in the playoffs the last couple of times we've been there and I want revenge.

Im not sure how you guys came to the conclusion that the Rangers and Sens are very similar...you guys score- we dont. You guys give up a ton of goals- we give up none. You guys have a really good PP-ours is terrible. Wwe kill penalties well-you guys dont. Wwe have possibly the best goalie in the NHL-you guys are still searching for yours.

Hahaha, what similarities did you guys come up with? Id be interested.

Look, IM not busting balls on your Sens, Im just sayin if by somehow the Ranger season ends at the hands of the Sens, I will be VERY disappointed and shocked.

And I would FAR FAR FAR rather play you guys than teh Devs, Pens, Flyers, Bruins or Caps.

not one drop of fear exists in a series with the Senators for me, bring 'em on, you can throw the regular season right out the window in this league.

come playoff time, give me Henrik Lundqvist with a solid team in front of him for a nice change, he was outstanding against the capitals twice, the buffalo series when they lost in 6, and of course at the hands of the penguins twice as well, but he was probably 75-80% of the reason the rangers got to the playoffs at all.

Similar in the sense of their development paths, not their on ice style - both are young teams on good upward trajectories, capable of playing fast and attractive hockey. Although for a team that is built on parsimony, the Rangers seem to play a pretty open game. I accept that I may see a different team given the results this season against the Sens, but where's this big tough Rangers side I've heard about?

Obviously the Flyers and the Bruins are the teams to avoid, they're battle hardened teams with loads of playoff experience and incredibly tough places to go and win. I can even understand why you might have a fear of the Pens and Devils given you see them more often than the others. You underestimate the Sens at your peril, though - but you've already done that both times this season when we came to your house, so I don't see why you should change that.

It's fairly academic though as I don't think we'll finish up playing each other - you'll either be first or fourth, and the Sens are unlikely to climb as high as fifth or drop to eighth, I think.

i hereby denounce and erase this current but very forgiven for slide of 3 straight.
The Rangers will usher in a winning performance against the rival Isles.
I feel a high scoring, hairy and fun game to watch against the arch rivals from the island.
Rangers 6-4 winners in the end.

Rangers are frustrated and will take it out on the Islanders by beating the life out of them tomorrow. There is no way the fish sticks score 4. Rangers may score 6 though

This is Zucc's last chance, let's hope he gives them an offensive boost.

Just got back, first game in four years. The place was hopping, glad the Rangers responded well and more importantly won
