Maybe, but that's far from a guarantee.

Yes. That's what I said. There are risks on both sides.

No, he will not be bagging groceries. He will be trying to score tickets for the latest musical out on Broadway or trying out for the show "Glee".

Get Manning AND a competent RT and we see scoring. Get manning and keep Hunter in at RT and we see a funeral.

    Wake up Tanny.

They can't afford a competent RT if they get Manning.

    Wake up, Jets fans.

There is no feasible tackle available in FA so we would need to trade for one and give up a high draft pick & take on a big contract in the process.

My question: Can Sanchez and Manning both be on our team, or is there no way to work the cap that it has to be one or the other?

If Sanchez takes a massive paycut to receive peanuts this year, sure. Why the hell not.

But then, if I am Sanchez, why will i take the paycut? Being demoted to a backup for the next 4 years is pissing me off enough already - now I have to take a paycut too? No thanks!

    He won't.

After not thinking they would, I'm sure the Jets will chase him now though, which is going to make bringing Sanchez back incredibly awkward and a potential disaster.

Because ultimately Manning wants to win another championship. If a team like the niners does not get involved then the jets are probably his best shot to do that. For all the complaints about our defense we were still a top 5 defense and that's something Peyton hasn't had the luxury to play with during his career.

Also I know the guy has a ton of endorsements already but if he came to NY how many Eli & Peyton commercials would we see.

That's if Peyton has another 4 years in him I guess. Maybe a contract where his money spikes after 2 years with decent guaranteed money in there?

I'm also curious as to why the Browns aren't in the Manning discussion. Is it a philosophy thing there? They have the pieces and draft picks to really build around Manning, and they seem to have some decent cap room to sign him.

I would like to see what the vote would be if it were, "All things being equal, do you want Sanchez or Manning next year?" If anyone voted for Sanchez, you'd be f***ing stupid. There are certainly reasons to not want Manning in green and white, but it has NOTHING to do with Sanchez. If the reason is health, money, or cap space, then you're on to something. If it's because we have Sanchez for another 2 years, then you don't have a clue.

I'm aware, but I saw too many posts of people not wanting Peyton because we have Sanchez. Dumbest rationale ever.
