Well we do need a change of pace back.... Unfortunately, that change of pace should not mean from slow (Greene) to ancient (RB)

Plaxico Burress can give the happy gift to the dirtiest orderly in a nursing home, and also the comatose old man he is taking up for.

Here's a scenario where I'd completely agree with Br4dw4ysucks on letting your young guys play. We have two mid-round picked RB's who we should go with here instead of bringing in some old worn down RB. Spend money elsewhere.

Every FA that played under Sparano will be linked to the Jets in the coming weeks. Get used to it.

I tend to agree. I thought McKnight came out and showed some promise especially when Greene went down. TRich or bust imo.

Im getting fucking fed up with this shit where we bring in other team’s washed up garbage just because they are linked to some coach on the team from working together in the past. I’ll be fucking pissed if this is what they think is the “answer” at the RB position.

What the Jets want is a replacement for LT. A reliable 3rd down back who can block and catch passes. I don't think they trust Powell or McKnight in that role. LT was a great comfort to Sanchez and he will be missed. He made a number of big plays last year out of short passes. Ideally I would love to see McKnight in this 3rd down role. But the fact we are looking outside the organization said quit a bit about the FO's trust and confidence in McKnight. Bringing in veteran like Brown familiar with Sporanos system , hopefully at a cheap price, who can fill that role seems like an ideal fit.

Signing Brown likely means no Trent Richardson with the 16 pick. Although if there is no guaranteed money it would not limit us.

    He sucks.

Therefore, I would love the Jets to get him.

Signing a scrub like Brown has absolutely NO effect on pick 16 if Richardson was there. You honestly think that Ronnie Fucking Brown would cause us to not draft the best RB prospect since AP... Gimme a break.

And the RB position is the easiest position to come in and produce from the college level- hence why many very good RB’s are in their 2nd or 3rd year. Our RB’s that we drafted should not be sitting on the bench while some stop gap player is filling a role that they should be meanwhile they are just sitting on the bench, aging. And if they arent at a level where they can contribute, they shouldnt have been picked which is all on the FO and talent evaluation.

Your posts suck, You should stick to basketball threads, because your football posts are worse than NYJall's 5 years ago when he was a retarded emo kid with 5 teams and didn't know shit about football.

    Beyond half assed.

Its terrible management is what it is.

We should sign Randy Moss, JJ, Ronnie Brown and Ochocinco!!!111!!11 Then all of our problems will be solved!

I agree with you that signing Brown does not preclude Richardson as Brown is only there as a 3rd down back. But it would mean getting rid of Powell or McKnight or maybe both.

In regard to a RB being the easiest to acclimate to the pro-level I agree and disagree. Certainly on 1st and 2nd down. But learning to block and be a receiver takes time.

That is the purpose of Brown a 3rd down back. I would rather McKnight be the third down back. But doesn't it say something about the CS' trust and faith in McKnight and Powell where they have to look for a veteran. I am not a fan of the idea of signing an aging RB. But for a 3rd down role and a cheap price it would be ideal. LT was a great addition and if Brown could fill that role it would be great help to Sanchez. Sanchez has many documented problems dealing with pressure, uncertainty and confusion. Having a reliable check down option is even more important giving Sanchez's limitations. If Brown can fill the role at cheap price I have no problem with it.

This is McKnights 3rd year. We must let the players we draft have a shot at playing, and McKnight showed in a limited role last year that he can produce somewhat. If he cant be the 3rd down back then he shouldnt be on the team by his 3rd year... Unless we designate him solely to KR/PR duties.

Brown shouldnt even be a consideration. We need a #1 back. We do NOT need another #2 or #3, we already have that.
