Haha, the only guy with more penalties was Hunter. Hopefully we demote Hunter and Ducasse emerges. If not, we're in trouble. I really hope Mulligan does not come back. Part of our struggles on offense was all the unnecessary penalties putting us in long yard situations.
The offseason has officially now begun: "The Jets are a much improved team after executing this bold and decisive personnel transaction. You can feel the buzz in the Jets organization with the addition of this empty roster spot in addition to the subtraction of the Mulligan element in the Jets offensive game strategy. Player ____ _____ really has a chance to come in here for the Jets and make a big step up in production in the spot Mulligan held last year. The Jets are really excited about the possibilities with this headline grabbing transaction." -Manish Mehta
It's hard to believe Hartsock is better than anyone, but that is indeed the case. What's Cumberland's status? He has shown really good flashes of being that 2nd TE.
Agreed. That said the article only says that we're not going to tender him. It makes sense because Mulligan was undrafted and thus an "original rd pick" (1.3 mill) makes no sense and we'd have to offer him at least a 3rd rd tender (1.8 mill) which he just isn't worth. We're doing the same with Marquice Cole and I'm sure both the fans and the CS want him back for 2012... just not at 1.8 mill.
Cumberland's got a lot of potential, but we need someone who can run block as the #2 tight end. As for Mulligan, I hope he dies.
YES YES YES THANK YOU... Every time he was on the field I swear there was a holding penalty or false start. Double post... oops
A small town north of me will mourn as I celebrate. Nah nah nah nah... Nah nah nah nah... Hey hey hey... Goodbye!
Unfortunately he was only on the field for 10 plays. The 10th showed his real potential when he snagged the 41 year pass from Kerley.
Did he really have 9 penalties? It seemed like so much more. Thank goodness he's gone, that guy was an idiot. Not only would he make the stupid penalties but then he'd be arguing afterwards.
Get out and never come back. Please for the sake of everyone in the nfl and its fans just walk away from the game and hang it up!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cumberland is a physical speciman. the dude runs like a 4.47 40 hes got speed and great side if he can stay healthy he can be a game changer with keller opposite him. hes a huge target @ 6-4 220plus he would be a match up nightmare if we can get him back on the field and healthy.
Yes, I'm excited for Cumberland as well. He looked good in the preseason last year. Hopefully he recovers well from the injury and can get in a full camp this year. Keller and Cumberland would pack a good 1-2 punch in the receiving game but we still need a blocking beast. Cumberland's injury hurt us a lot last year, because we were planning on becoming an offense like the Pats with 2 separate receiving TE threats.
