I want Braylon back only if we can sign another receiver with him. I dont completely trust his abilities after his injuries last season.
If healthy, you have a very cheap deep threat WR who has chemistry with our QB. With our cap issues, I really think he's the best thing we could do. Save money for the other positions.
Roger Goodell gives a couple of shits about how Braylon acts off the field. One more idiotic thing and rekindling this flame with Sanchez, being healthy, and helping to corral Holmes won't matter. He'll be missing time and our receiving corps will be Kerley Keller and Holmes. Sanchez will average 150 yards. The nightclub incident and then the DWI... Although we are looking for cheap solutions at a number of positions. So I am up in the air.
Did you forget that Roger Goodell also "gives a couple of shits" about Holmes and him lighting up the weed again? One more time getting caught and Holmes won't be just missing time....he'll be missing the ENTIRE SEASON. Now picture that happening and the Jets being stuck with just Kerley, Keller, and Patrick f'n Turner.... Yeah....I thought so. Sanchez won't even come CLOSE to 150 yards... GET BRAYLON BACK! But I also agree with that other poster that he shouldn't be the ONLY Wideout the Jets sign.
Yeah, the difference is Holmes is under contract with the team so we are already assuming that risk. Could you post more normal-ish? I feel like I'm reading posts from the eleven year old president of the Braylon fan club.
Chemistry How is a young qb supposed to develop when he gets a new receiver corps every year? Sanchez was really starting to jell with Bray and then he was gone, replaced by Plax and Mason. The Jets need Braylon back.
Could you post less condescending bullshit about someone's posting habits? Feels like I'm reading posts from the grammar police or something. Or was that just a subtle attempt at a personal attack? I can read between the lines, you know....
Excellent analysis: Santonio+Joint+Goodell=Patrick Turner Patrick Turner---->Sanchez fail Sanchez fail= Braylon Edwards only NFL WR capable of improving on Patrick Turner. Yep that seems to check out. Apt screen name sir.
Some posters make points that are never clear, Blocker... But whatever....It's none of my concern if some here ignore the obvious. Time will tell if Tanny is operating on the same wavelength as those "some" here, in which case I would be most disappointed. I mean if he can't see that bringing him back would only increase Mark's chances of success, then I'd rather they kick him to the curb and hire a real gm who knows what he's doing; or at least demote him back to where he belongs as our Capologist.
Signing Holmes was such a huge mistake. 10 million for a #2 reciever. Now we might have to draft one and lose out on a safety or pass rusher. If Upshaw gets drafted, and Micheal Floyds sitting there, we might have to take him.
they can draft a wr , or sign someone/fa after cuts , and before camp starts when you can go bargain hunting.
the fact they should do that means that they won't. tanny is no match for the likes of ozzie newsome. he's not even a match for ted thompson events /results have shown.
Everytime I see that name Ozzie Newsome, I think of Baseball. Why? I have no clue.....lol. But you're correct. Tanny has been Out-GM'ed thus far.....He needs to pick it up.
How would we as fans not want Bray back? WHEN healthy ( he did not have major knee surgery) he has the ability to both stretch the field (Big play possibility as well as open it up for Holmes, JK, and Keller underneath) and lets not forget he is a DEVESTATING run blocker. Add in the fact that he will most likely sign a one year deal (low $ and incentive based). He wants to come back, the fans want him back, do the jets? Its all about the cap and $$$
