Perry is very underrated. He was a stud this past year.

I think you take Hill or Floyd at this point. Hill is 6'4 and runs a 4.3 and Floyd is 6'3 and runs a 4.4. That's the type of size and speed we need in this offense. I'm leaning more towards Floyd because he's produced, but damn, 6'4 and 4.3 speed? That's Calvin Johnson size and speed!

If youre talking first round, which I am assuming you are then please dont compare Stephen Hill to Calvin Johnson. He's not even a poor mans Calvin Johnson. I do like him as a possible candidate for the middle rounds if the value is there but his production was no where near what Calvin Johnsons was not even what Demaryius Thomas's was. He's still just a prospect and his stock is based solely around potential.

You should be leaning toward Michael Floyd leaps and bounds over Hill.

No. Unless we trade back into the mid 20's that the only way Im taking Perry over guys like Upshaw, DeCastro, Floyd, Jeffery, Adams, or Ingram. He's a good prospect but dont just fall in love with combine numbers.

After watching the WR's today I think we pass on one in Round 1 because its so deep, right now I see Rex going for Brian Quick he likes small school guys(Wilson, Wilkerson, Ellis and Ducasse)

Ingram dropped 12 pounds to show teams he can convert to 3-4 OLB so it'll be interesting to see his athleticism tomorrow, his measurements look decent 6'2 about 265, very interested in Nick Perry and Chandler Jones(??? is he there)

Nothing I said was false. 6'4 with 4.3 speed is Calvin Johnson size and speed. It's a fair comparison.

Maybe size and speed wise but so is Eron Riley who is 6'4 with 4.29 speed. That doesnt mean theyre similar by any means other than that small tidbit. Calvin had 178 receptions, 2927 Yds, and 28 TD's compared to Hill's 49 Receptions, 1248 Yds, and 9 TD's in the same amount of years. I understand that Hill played in a shitty system and has a very high ceiling but Im not ready to call him a 1st round pick at all and he is not better than guys in this draft like Blackmon, Jeffery, Floyd, Wright, or Sanu.

I think in the end Hill will be over drafted because of his combine numbers and I dont want this team to reach for him by any means, and Im talking about the 2nd round not the 1st round as you were alluding to. He has a chance to be a solid player and who knows maybe he will become a great WR but we cant draft for hope in the 1st and IMO not where we are in the 2nd.

Youve asked this question in multiple threads. Just make a new thread and someone will answer it.

i tell u, u may be on to something but i am not sure if he is #16 talent. lower first round yes but we'll see. been on the upshaw/ingram bandwagon for LB and dicastro for OL but perry may have to ooze in there.

dang this is a decent draft with several prospects that play right into the needs of the team. if there was ever a draft to front load (trade up) back into the lower first of get another round 2 pick - this is the one. we could get immediate starter material on both sides of the ball OR rebuild half of your LB core with 2 picks.

Perry is an intriguing prospect, but claiming he should be drafted based off a 40 time is a little off-base.

When is he ever going to be asked to run 40 yards in a straight line? That number is mainly for WRs, RBs, and TEs. His position drills and 3 cone shuttle are much more important indicators of athletic ability that will translate on the field.

Those USC boys take their vitamin S.....

Ingram at 6'2 164 with 28 is impressive.
    Upshaw at 22 is surprising.

    Are these official?

Excuse me? Let's see how he does in the drills first. Straight line speed means nothing... flexibility and acceleration is what you need.

Big and fast do not equate to good. Did anybody else watch Tommy Streeter (6'5" 220 lbs, 4.40) in the WR drills? He looked slow, awkward, couldn't adjust to a ball in the air, and had stone hands. Maybe he just had a bad day, but he was terrible.

If we want ground&pound we should draft Poe and make him a FB... 346 lbs and 4.85 speed!? Human wrecking ball!!!

If Perry's official time stays close to 4.5 the guy made some money... HOWEVER he's lighting up the Combine AND is from Detroit, would you guys be willing to take the risk :p?

I'm really coming around to Ingram again. I'm sure someone else will take the lead in about a week, but Ingram's athletic ability is just amazing. He just has flow when he runs and is the bette passrushing prospect. If he can learn to set the edge in the run game, he could be a very good 3 down player. And also one thing that is great with Ingram is that I dot think he will be a liability dropping back into coverage- I think he has the fluidity to cover a te over the middle or a RB in the flat, he has the ball skills to actually intercept the ball when it's in the air and he has great instincts... He's a baller.

Also, dontari Poe just ran a 4.87... At 350 lbs. Damn, that is pretty crazy for such a big man
