http://www.wdwmagic.com/Attractions...e-Theater-this-week.htm#.TrALxnmXFmU.facebook For those who will be visiting in the future, it appears that Disney is now doing some "beta-testing" with talking/interactive characters. Pretty damm cool especially when you consider all they can do now is nod their heads and move their hands along with the recorded voice-track.
That's pretty cool. Hopefully we'll see it when we go back in December. Never been down there during the holidays, but staying at Wilderness Lodge again...that place is awesome but during holidays should be even better.
I was considering it, but read many reviews that it is WAY overpriced for what you get. Cookies and Cocoa, and a ton of people that were in the park, that never left prior to the X-Mas event.
The Christmas thing at the MK is ok, they have bubbles that look like it's snowing on Main Street, you get a free picture w/ Mickey but other than that I don't recall anything too special about it. This was 10 years ago so maybe things have changed.
Of all the times in the year that I wanna get to WDW is for the Food & Wine festival. I always go in the summer so I'd love to go in the fall. Unfortunately, until my girlfriend finishes her classes and starts her externships (at least another year and a half), that won't happen.
IMO..the extra tickets are a rip... For Halloween it is just OK.. Christmas ...just goto EPCOT for Santa and Mrs Claus. And goto the Studios for the Osbourne Lights.
Just heard that they are going to enforcing the tail-end of the Fastpass window. First time ever, right?
Believe so. I'm glad. Nothing worse than people who get a FP that is supposed to end at 12PM and show up at 4PM. All it does is make the FP lines more inefficient and as a result the standby lines slower.
Raises hand. Up until now, I'm the "King" of banking fast passes. By 12PM on a given park day, I'd be sitting on at least 3 or 4 fast passes, long since expired, having ridden other "secondary" rides during that period, hitting the fast-pass rides later in the day. I know that it screwed up things for the rest of you but I'm selfish like that, and the system allowed itself to be exploited. I also read that this new fastpass system will also cover character meet and greets along with positioning on the parade route, both of which are very good things. I'm sure that in the end, it will work, but it's going to take some getting used to.
no. Every conspiracy person says that. They enforce a strict guideline on length. I grew mine on my days off. It has to be neatly trimmed, all connected, no patterns. so you will not see amish/muslim beards. No neck beards. No more than .25 inches off face
Not Disney related but Orlando instead. How many of you know that they razed the "Jaws" ride @ Universal to make more room for Harry Potter crap? Last ride on Jaws was in mid-January.
New game at Magic Kingdom called Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. Portals have been put around the kingdom and you have to help Merlin defeat Hades and other villians from taking over. There are spell cards that you use to defeat the villians. 70 cards in all but the last 10 have been pulled until WDI decides to release them again. Cards and spells can level up as they get used. So far, not too bad.
I did read about the closing (going to UO in April). However, it has not been officially announced what will be taking it's place. One of the hot rumors is that they are going to build a Diagon Alley and have Hogwarts Express joining the two Potter areas (one at the IOA and the other at US).
That's what it's going to be. I still can't believe they closed Jaws. My favorite ride at Universal. It will never be the same there.
