Osemele and Silatolu look sooo impressive... I'd almost say Silatolu more than Osemele. And Silatolu also supposedly looks mean on tape (according to Mayock).

Ryan Miller can flat out move considering his size. He'd be one hell of a rugby player :)

PS Ohhh I'm falling in love with Silatolu... combine love...

    I know... that's why I'm worried :)

Ryan Miller looks like an athletic specimen too... he moves very well for his length! Anyone follow Colorado here?

Of course, but he will take time to switch to a 3-4 OLB . He barely has any experience standing up. I think he has solidified his position in the draft as a 4-3 DE.

Exactly. To develop a guy like Curry, you want to bring him in on third and long and let him get after a the QB in season one. We already have that in Maybin. I'd love for him to drop to our second, but thats iffy at best.

Outside of the first rounders, he is probably our best chance at a good OLB though...

Not necessarily. He'd be the most advanced pass rusher outside of the first but I still think guys like Cam Johnson, Andre Branch, and Jonathan Massaquoi can provide some solid potential as an OLB.

I agree. Wilkerson was called weak for a Dline and put up more reps than Mangold did. Some people jsut do not know how to read what the combine is about and it skewers thier judgement on a player.

Yeah honestly I think a lot of it comes from not having lifted/played sports themselves. It's tough to relate to what these guys are doing/put through when you haven't done anything similar yourself.

I think Johnson is strictly a 4-3 DE.

He's played as a 3-4 OLB proir and has stood up plenty in college. I think he'd be full capable to play either position.

this is an internet messageboard - I have no doubt before long posters will be claiming to regularly do 50 reps just for shits and giggles :)

He might be an excellent target for us in the 3rd round. He sounds like a poor mans Gronk, reviews on his blocking are quite excellent

    (^ on his blocking skills)

Unless someone specials on the board in the 3rd, this guy is definitely my top choice for the round

I am a big Andre branch fan. If we don't go OLB in round 1 that is who I want, unless someone inexplicably falls.

I wouldnt call him a poor mans gronk. He is shorter, slower, not as good a blocker, and I don't think his hands are nearly as good. I don't think he creates nearly the mismatches that gronk does. In fact the only TE I want outside the bottom rounds would fleener. I think he ends up as the best overall TE in the class.

I think we end up bringing in lots of UDFA TE's to find a new blocking guy. One guy i mentioned elsewhere is Nick Provo. Solid blocker, not truly athletic enough to be much of a weapon in the passing game, but he does have solid hands and is a good blocker.

Alright hes a homeless mans Gronk then !

This team is just so desperate for a blocking TE though, that we gotta do something.

Provo is REALLY damn small though.

6'3 237, DK has 20 pounds on him.

I know Sparano likes those big hulking TEs. And Dwayne Allen is 255 and certainly has room to add to that, although if his 40 times hurting that much I don't know how well he would be able to handle it

Thats part of my point. If Allen is running 4.9 (for all intents and purposes) at 255, him trying to bulk up to 270 or whatever, he will definitely be running at over 5.0.

anybody know his 10 yd split? thats far more important than his 40, but i can't imagine it was very good considering all of his 'explosion' tests were pretty poor today.

40's to me are really only worth paying much attention to with RB's DB's (particularly CB's) and Wr's. everybody else, the 10 and 20 yard splits are far more important, at least to me.
