    He's nuts if he thinks a 34 year old pass rusher averaging less than 10 sacks a season in a 4-3 defense is going to get that kind of money. Reggie White broke the bank at about the same age. He'd averaged 15 sacks a season over his prior 6 and he'd just had a 15 sack season before free agency.

    ^Abraham's still a good passrusher, just not worth $12m/per. Not even close at this point.

    I forgot John Abraham the day he sat out a playoff game after being cleared to play. I want players who want to win on the jets, not guys simply looking to make it rich.

    Lol 12 million for a situational pass rusher. We already have that in Maybin and he'll come a hell of a lot cheaper.

    exactly. Even if he was available cheap, I don't think he'd be worth it. Quit on the team not on a regular season game but in the playoffs, unforgivable.

    Darn, I would have loved to see him back in a Jets uniform if he wasn't going to ask for a lot of money, but he is oh well.

    There's no way any team gives him 12 mil a year. He had 9.5 sacks last year, not even top 10. Tied for 18th in the league. He does force a good amount of fumbles, but there's no chance he even gets close to that. He'll get 8-9 million tops unless Atlanta's desperate, but they have a lot of people to sign.
