Nash is a good player, but he's not an electrifying goal-scorer. In my opinion he's not worth the Cap Hell+ Losing Kreider.
Columbus isn't trading Nash, their franchise, for that package. Not in a million years. If you want Nash, you'll have to start with names like Stepan, Del Zotto, McDonagh. Obviously, the Rangers wouldn't trade a single one of those three for him. Garrioch is as bad as Eklund when it comes to rumors, except Eklund actually has one source (Philly). Columbus was scouting the NYR-PHI game, so he decided to come up with this rumor. Then immediately after, it was revealed they were there to talk to Philly. Total BS.
Rick Nash has 18 goals and is -22. That price and that salary implies you're getting him at his best, which he has only shown probably 2-3 years out of his 9. 7.8 million/yr should get you a guy that scores a point a game in his sleep.
So many people are in love with this guy. Granted only on a mediocre-at-best team over the years but I've never thought Nash has lived up to his hype and potential. And going after him would be a step in the wrong direction. Sorry I'm not interested in going back down the road of big price for the big name that won't live up to expectations.
I agree Poe, Mess would be very proud of this Captain, Ch4 comparison was to '94 Adam Graves, I couldn't enjoy McD's goal until he came back for the next penalty kill, says he tweeked his knee cap and it happens all the time
No Johnny you don't want to see Dubi go! By the way Dubi had a great cross ice pass on Pruster's goal...
My son gave Torts the game stats after the game and he said Torts had a grin from ear to ear, then he brought the stats to the Craps dressing room and Ovie was staring at the floor...nice!
Pretty sweet stuff. Especially this year. I interned at the training center in '09. Was there for the Renney oust and Torts hire. Must be awesome to be there now. Rangers rolling, Carmelo and Amare in the building (albeit not meeting their expectations). Not much star power while I was there.
This has nothing to do with the current Rangers team, but it's awesome. When Messier won the Stanly Cup back with the Oilers, when it was his turn to take home the Stanly Cup, he brough it around to strip clubs lol
The Rangers have five players in the Top 50 in Hits - Callahan, Boyle, Dubi, Girardi & Del Zotto and lead the league in fighting majors...
Pat Leonard @NYDNRangers Rangers confirm Ruslan Fedotenko is on the trip to Boston for Tuesday night's game against the Bruins
I'm jealous myself, a few weeks ago he was on the elevator and the door was just about closed and he saw a hand stop the door, it reopened and it was torts and gabby...
