The Sound FX is up on nfl.com if you want to watch it. Some great quotes. Welker to Brady before game: "you know I'm always open" Brady to bench "It's like throwing in a forest" (after a batted ball) Brady on their second to last drive "Let's get 7 here and end it on our terms" EDIT: the announcers they used were Pats guys and they said after a Brady drive something like "Thats why you take number 12 over Eli"
Especially when you have a real QB throwing to them. Sanchez could have Jerry Rice, Chris Carter and Randy Moss to throw to and still not win a damn thing.
So much for being a genius. This guy could stop the greatest show on turf but couldnt stop Eli? Hes really lost his touch.
I think you have to look at the upside here... Bear Pascoe didn't catch any balls down the stretch. Go defense!!
After those 3 Super Bowls, it never gets old seeing Belichick get out-coached in big games. And it seems to happen at least once a year, in their final loss.
Can't blame him. Of the three wideouts the Giants use, Manningham probably has the smallest big play ability. Manning made a perfect through and Manningham a perfect catch. Can't really blame Belichick for that play.
Ppl who thought drafting Kyle Wilson was stupid: Maybe drafting a Corner in Rd 1 giving your team 3 good CBs isn't such a bad idea after all?
This is really a stupid article. Who cares? Of the weapons the Giants had Manningham was the least dangerous...it was the right decision. You can't defend a PERFECT throw and catch, ever.
it was the right decision and I enjoy him getting raped by it the same way it was the right decision to let the Giants score a TD and it still did not work out. point being there was still good coverage on Manningham on the sideline catch, so it isn't as if the Giants exploited the strategy on that play. it was a perfect throw and better catch between two people.
if i'm head coach i do the exact same thing - cover the best and take ur chances with the others. it had to be a great throw and catch and it was..... game planning and strategy go with the percentages and out of 10 shots that completion is made what 2-3 times at the most. i'll take that risk all day, every play.
Don't get me wrong, that part I love. But this is pure media-spin bullshit, seems like they're taking the credit away from Manning for what is one of the BEST throws I have ever seen. "Oh yeah, the Patriots let Manning complete that pass..."
