Instead of trolling about the Jet organization, it would have been more helpful and on point if you had addressed the points about Holmes. Holmes had no history as a locker room cancer. I defy you to find one poster here who last off season responded to his FA signing by complaining he had been a locker room cancer before. And that includes you. Anyone who knows the basic facts knows that the reason Pitt let him go had nothing to do with his locker room behavior. You do, too, which is no doubt why you went off about the Jet FO rather than talking about Holmes.
You've pretty much got the "We need to sell PSLs" dog and pony show down pat. Throw in picking up some retreads like LT and Plax and we make this an all-or-nothing, win-now team. Only thing is, we didn't. And Rex, the other tool, oversold the past several seasons at Woody's behest also, after it was obvious the PSLs were going to be a hell of an uphill climb. So if you're Woody and they're not moving, what do you do? You hype it up even more with the Hard Knocks and unleashing Rex with the Superbowl talk and the "we'll kick their ass" business. So now the PSLs are sold but we finish 8-8, and hence the huge let-down. It's no wonder why the fans are feeling used and deceived now, especially the guys who layed out big bucks for the PSLs. The only thing now that will change that feeling is winning. No more talk about winning. Just winning. If that doesn't happen next season, there's going to be hell to pay, starting with mass defections in the stadium. Hell, there was already more than anecdotal evidence of this in the Uppers in the summer of 2010 and this was following two playoff appearances.
No one can be happy with the offense last year ..all bar Mangold were below par ...greene, holmes, sanchez, brick etc..we have to believe that these have not suddenly becomebad players but more that the fuckwit that was schotty was the reason. Houstion was a joke of a defense last year..they got a proper coach and suddenly they are elite...we have to believe that we can do the same..the talents there
Holmes is the best player on our offense not named mangold. Ferguson is debatable Eating that much money to get rid of a talent like him was never an option
Our offense with Holmes>>> Our offense without him He needs to get his act together but he's a Jet and even if we bring in Braylon, Floyd or Wright he'd still be out #1 receiver. Cutting him just leaves us with another hole
Holmes is the most talented receiver we have had in years. Giselle Bunchen said "[brady] can't throw and catch the ball' neither can Holmes. He should never have been captain but there's no doubt he gives a shit about winning.
That's actually not true. Blocker only started trolling about Sanchez, overt trolling, since Schotty was handed his walking papers or maybe shortly earlier than then, when the writing was on the wall. Before then, Blocker stuck to defending the worst players on the team like they were blood relations. And Brian Schottenheimer.
Some of these guys just replaced "Chad" with "Sanchez" in their files and continue to copy and paste the same stuff.
Hey, I'll be the same way if the fucking kid doesn't get that stinger fixed and pull his head out of his ass in a simpler system. 2012/2013 has been my real deadline for him, and he only gets one season for injury from me as well. If he doesn't make a major breakthrough in 2012, I'll be pretty much done with him. But for now, I'll be patient. He has shown flashes, but this isn't a rave. Flashes can end up being unrealized potential.
Can't cut our best playmaker on offense. especially when he'll only be 28 years old next year. Complimenting Holmes with a big WR that's not ancient or brain dead would make both him and Sanchez much better. Floyd or Jeffery would be the two big options IMO, because it's looking like the best potential FA WR's either aren't going anywhere or will be too expensive.
Honestly that's what I think happened at the Miami game. You guys put all the blame on Holmes in this feud, I believe there's more to it than what we saw on TV. I think it's 50/50 blame on both of them
