With where we select, one of these will be our pick if we don't trade up or down

    Courtney Upshaw LB Alabama :
Plays in a college version of our defense, will get pressure and start day 1.

Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame (O) :
A BIG receiver who could help us, but lacks the pure speed and will not be stretching the field in the NFL. Is his size and college numbers too much to pass on?

Nick Perry DE Southern California (OLB) :
Would get pressure, fill a hole and contribute, but not my selection, see Upshaw.

    Cordy Glenn G/T Georgia :
Our O-line needs help and I don't think he is it at RT, but with a new OC who likes to run, this could be our pick.

    Mark Barron SS Alabama :
This is my pick and most would call it a reach, but he's the #1 Safety in college and just as Upshaw, he plays in a college version of our defense and would start day 1. Our Safety position needs help bad and he is the best college has to offer this year. So it's either him or get a FA, but we need better than Smith on the field. Add in the fact Jim was hurt again, we need a Safety. I would like us to trade back, but highly doubt they will.

Already did a mock draft a month ago

Which I feel good about, just adding some thought to the Draft area, partly become of some of the Jets coaching changes. Instead of crying over the SB.

If you don't feel it's worth your time, or too redundant for you, then don't bother reading it.

Additionally, you should watch some Tide games or read about them. Closest you will get to the Jets Defense in college.

I hate the idea of drafting a safety early unless its someone who is great in coverage. We might as well draft a corner and convert him to a safety, there are a few corners who would be good at safety.

Right Tackle IMO is our biggest need, and I think Glenn could do that.

And that's the biggest problem with Tanny. He just doesn't trade down. He has to make that big splash. He also hasn't shown the ability to draft to the strength of the draft. This draft is strong and deep at OLB and WR. He ought to double up in this draft at those positions. I'll lay odds he won't.

I think Barron is way overrated and nowhere near worthy of the #16 pick. If I'm committed to taking Barron, I trade down to the mid 20s at least and garner an additional 2nd round pick.

Floyd I wouldn't want under any circumstances. We don't need any more players with suspect character.

Perry may move up following the Combine, but I haven't seen him rated that high yet. I think they could trade down and still get Perry.

If they're considering Glenn, then again, they should trade down into the 20s and at least add a 3rd round pick.

I want us to do some Bill Parcell or Jimmy Johnson type trading. Get our guy with a few picks on the side.
