He bgan throwing before Tuck suddenly appeared

You need to maintain complete control, meaning the ball cannot move at all. The ball does move when he hits the ground.

The Ginats made plays to win, I am not taking anything away from them just commenting on 2 shaky calls.

To be fair, I think it would be very difficult to find any championship team - in any sport - that didn't receive more than their fare share of luck.

They may have had some luck, but every team at different points gets lucky. The difference between championship teams and the rest of the pack is what they do with it. The Giants earned this.

What about all the bad luck the Giants have had also? Haven't they blown 2 playoff appearance opportunities before this year? Every championship winning team has luck, or they wouldn't be a winner. Champions take advantage of their luck and make the most of it. Stop making the Jets fanbase look like sore losers in a game where our division rivals and enemies of the last decade lost. 99% of the Jets fanbase is congratulating and praising the Giants for a a good Super Bowl run, might be time you joined us.

don't get me wrong, this couldn't have happened to a better team. The pats playing like hot garbage in the postseason since spygate completely invalidate their 3 rings to me.

but this giants team really gets very lucky. I don't think i'm being sore loser by saying this. that's just being real

Please tell me you didn't clearly see the ball squirt from the gif above? You have split second to see the ball as he turns away and there is no definite proof to overturn that call in the slightest sense. If you can provide another angle, I could maybe see what you are trying to say, but there is nothing in the GIF that shows an incomplete pass.

Like I said, every team has things that goes their way throughout the season, championship teams are usually the ones that take those situations and get everything they can out of them.

"Luck" is just the word we use to describe when preparation and opportunity meet. In other words, good teams might sometimes seem to be "lucky", but the truth is usually that they are just supremely well prepared to take advantage of every opportunity they get.

Luck is part of football and winning but boy do the Giants seem to get more lucky than any other team I have ever seen. That is not to take away from what they have accomplished but it is frustrating as hell.

He never lost possession. Chambers did. I honestly don't remember the Coles play.

Chmabers never lost possession and neither did Coles. both caught would be TDs that the ball shifted slightly after they hot the ground and the calls were overturned. That's the rule.

    Please TGG members

Do not go down this road

This is the road I can see Giants fans or other detractors going when the Jets win it
    Let's try to avoid this

When the Jets win, I assume that something will happen which will be regarded by some as the luckiest break of all time

That's when we can bring up this shit:wink:

I've never seen luck as being blind. Good teams don't rely on luck to be the decisive factor of games. And the Hail Mary catch against Green Bay is a stretch. It's not like it was to win the game. They won the game handily anyway. (Here comes the "Yeah but" arguments claiming it changed the climate of the game)

It's ok to be bitter, I look forward to the day when opposing fans are bitter at us winning.

The Giants played great, they earned the title but it's ok to admit a few things went their way.

And it will be said again when the Jets do win a SB
so let's put the luck argument aside for now

Of course it will, and that is probably usually the case. Lets face it, luck plays a huge factor in any sport. Especially Football. And winning the Superbowl is so hard to do that usually the team that does win it, also got its share of luck. That shouldn't be an excuse or reason to take away from what they did. No team in the history of professional football has won a championship based purely on luck. Generally speaking you make your own luck. Is it just a coincidence that the ball generally bounces the good teams way.

So again the Giants may have had some lucky breaks, just like any other team that goes as far as they did, but to simply say they won the superbowl because of luck is just silly, in my opinion.

There was no incontrovertible evidence of that ball coming out of Manningham's control that I saw on any of the replays.

As for the grounding, Brady conceded in an interview that he was aware of the pressure from Tuck when he threw it.

if it moves an inch it's incomplete, on the replays(which weren't great and myabe why they didn't overturn it) it sure looked like the ball moved.

Either way they made the play and they won the game.
