I'm sure the Patriots will win a legit ring one day too. It's just a matter of time.

Maybe Brady will come to the Jets to win his first superbowl.

Yea, the Pats haven't won since Spygate. Funny coincidence that really irritates Pats fans. My favorite though, they haven't won since Vinateri left, that also gets on their nerves haha. Brady really played poorly on throws past 15 yards today

Tell ya what! Id take a Superbowl win with an asterisk over it any day!. Its unfair to try and take away from the Monster that the Jets created , but it is a pure pleasure to revel in their failure .

The title of this thread is a little incorrect. Yes the Jets won their Super bowl with Namath at the controls , but his team was a major catalyst in their success. That documentary was a very Pro-Joe type of production. I have seen other more true to life Documentaries that depicts a locker room that could barely stand the playboy quarter back and basically pushed him to be successful.

Are you guys really jumping on the Pats for not winning a super bowl since spygate? They've won 2 AFC titles since then, something we have failed to accomplish. And not to mention, spygate or not, they still have 3 super bowl rings within the last 11 years.

Fact remains. Patriots have yet to win a Super Bowl since their cheating ways were taken away.

2nd place is the first loser.

but that's the point....when they were cheating, which gave them a REAL advantage, they won 3 rings.

    Now?

1- NE loses to the giants after going 18-0

2- NE loses to the ravens in the palyoffs

3- NE loses to the jets in the playoffs after beating the jets 44-3 a month earlier

4- NE loses once again to the giants.

It's a lot like baseball where some home run hitter whacks 60 home runs 3 years in a row, then gets caught juicing and only hits 20 home runs then next 3 years in a row.

edit: i believe NE's first 3 wins should be expunged from the record books and all the bandwagon Pats fans should be required to burn their obnoxious gear.

Even if you discount those titles, the patriots still have won this division every year since 2003 with the exception of 2008 (dolphins) and have 2 AFC titles along with it. Our Metlife partner's have 2 rings in the last 4 years.

It's really an embarrassing time to be a Jet fan. Especially when our own fans are knocking on the Pats for losing in the Super Bowl twice in the last 4 years, when this team has yet to ever reach that game in over 40 years. I don't see how any Jet fan can be happy this evening. The Giants are celebrating in our town, and the Patriots are still the class of the AFC and the AFC East.

I guess you missed the late 80s and early 90s? The Jets have been a respectable franchise for the past 15 years. Sure we haven't won a Super Bowl, and sure we haven't been an elite franchise and having the Giants and Pats winning Super Bowls doesn't help. However, over the past 15 years, I don't know how you can say that being a Jets fan has been "embarrassing"

You don't know what embarrassing really is. Embarrassing is going an entire decade without a winning season (1970-1980) and throwing in some other long stretches of losing football (1988-1996). Embarrassing is going 4-28 over two years (95 and 96) and coming away with James Farrior and Keyshawn Johnson after "earning" the #1 pick in the draft two years in a row. Embarrassing is blowing a 10 point lead with 4 minutes to go in a playoff game.

If you have been following the Jets for 46 years like I have, the past decade has been nirvana compared to some other periods of time. And for the first time since the early 1980s, I feel like the Jets are trying to build a perennial winner instead of taking that one or two year shot at winning it all or just plain stinking up the NFL. If the past few years in the NFL have taught us anything, it is that there is so much parity that all it takes is for a team to get hot at the right time - Pittsburgh in 05, NY in 07, GB in 10 and NY in 11 all showed that. All four of those teams were 5 or 6 seeds and won it all.

I'm 21 years old, so yes, I was not exactly around for the 80s and have very little memory of the early 90s. I started really being a diehard around 8 or 9 years old (the 1998 season mostly), so I'm comparing to what I have seen in my life time. Which is the Pats dominating this division every year, and the Giants running our city. And quite frankly, I'm downright sick of it.

Seeing our own fans celebrating because the Patriots lost today is even more sickening to me. The Pats swept us this year, and dominated the AFC & AFC East, as they have done for the last 10+ years. 1 playoff win over the Pats last year is not enough to make up for that, nor is watching our Metlife rivals win multiple championships as well.

If you became a fan in '98, you have no idea how lucky you are. Short of the '68-69 seasons, it has been a Jets utopia since '98. I mean that sincerely. I clearly can't hold your age against you.

That being said, if you are a true, diehard, get ready for a life of agony and frustration as far as being a football fan is concerned.

And the Jets have yet to win a Super Bowl, or even appear in one, since 1969. What is your point?

Since 'their cheating ways were taken away' in early 2007, the Pats have won 4 AFC East titles and 2 AFC titles. The Jets have won nothing. I cannot tell you how badly I just want to own and wear something that says "Jets" and "Champions" on it. My children's sized 1998 t-shirt and my ratty old hat from 2002 is not exactly cutting it any more.

So what that they have division titles? Do you not realize that their legacy if that's even what you want to call it is forever stained with spygate? I don't care how many division titles they win because we whipped their asses in Foxborough last year when it really mattered and they caught some breaks this year mainly the Steelers being so beat up that they lost to the Broncos.

Division titles are nothing without trophys. The Atlanta Braves won 14 consecutive division titles and only one WS. You know what that is? A whole lotta of failure and disappointment. In the grand scheme of things nobody remembers or cares who won the AFC East. Their entire legacy is tainted by this loss, they can't draft, they can't win a SB and they can stop this "Patriot Way" bullshit because at the end of the day all they are is a team who got very lucky with a QB that they drafted in the 6th round. Pats fans and media homers can spin it all they want but that's all they are but still had to cheat to win those titles.
