Either they're going to come back badass or a lot gayer..either way I can't wait for next season haha
Here's to hoping they have actually worked things out for something more than the offseason. I want to believe it, but I'll proceed cautiously.
IMO, it is never appropriate. It is NOT show of emotion or excitement. It is just self-aggrandizement. Regarding the tweet. I guess it is fine as a first step. However, actions speak louder than words. Show it on the field and be the great player you can be.
Memo to Santonio: Just fucking do it. Don't talk. Just go do. And don't show up next year until it's done. I don't want the 2011 Santonio back. I'm cynical. Santonio helped MAKE me cynical.
As an aside, anyone see the article on Rex taking more of a role next year with the D? Found that interesting. Apparently, he was really hands off on the D this year, and let Pettine call all the plays. The D was still pretty good, but it was obvious it wasn't his blueprint with the lack of blitzes. As much as I love Rex, if he was more hands off on the D this past year, and he wasn't involved with the offense at all, what the hell was he doing?
He might have offered Kim K up. That's what that rumor was all about  And agreed, even thought it's only a tweet, he didn't have to do it. These guys are professionals and I'm sure they hate being portrayed negatively in the media as much as we fans do.
Watching the game like the fans in the stands, except he had the best seat(or rather standing spot) in the house. Wait! Just NOW you became cynical? And you were a Jets fan for how long again? lol.
I saw that and I think Pouha may have stepped up as a leader, if you've read any of his tweets recently and he did a Q&A about 2 weeks ago but it sounds like he is taking an active role as being a team leader. He's a very high character guy and I hope we keep him around because he had a great season and he brings a lot to a locker room. To walk away from the game you love for 2 years to serve an LDS Mission in which about 50% of the guys who do this never return to what they were before says a lot about the guy.
I see a big difference. I don't see pointing to a first down (a la Keller) as a big deal. What Holmes does is hold the ball out....pauses for dramatic effect....and then drops the ball. While what he does is technically legal, IMO it should be a penalty in the spirit of the rules (it is showing up the opponent and causes the ref to chase the ball). If nothing else, it makes him look like a complete douche bag.
Uhhh, hey guys instead of bashing Holmes blindly, can't you see this means they've most likely made up and put the past behind them? I love how so many jets fans assume the worst about everything.
