Not sure why you'd say that. I've cheered for my team in the SuperBowl a lot more times than you've cheered for your team.
He said will, not have. As in Miami WILL not win, no make another superbowl in your lifetime. Hell at this rate they wont even win another playoff game in your lifetime so you got nothing to worry about
And if that happens, I'll know what it's like to be a Jets fan and deal with disappointment after disappointment after disappointment. I can deal with my team's SB drought. How good are you dealing with yours?
Considering that I have the best defensive minded coach in the league, im ready to soon to be champs. The grass is pretty green over here in Rexland, hows uhm, whose that guy you got over there again ? But at least you got that QB uhm... no wait you dont have a qb. Oh Brandon Marshall yes yes thats it. Is he homicidal today or maybe just getting beating by his wife ? You can say anything youd like the fact is there isn't a person on this planet who thinks the Fins are anything even fractionally remotely close to legit. Whereas there are very few teams who want to see us in the playoffs.
Is that the same coach who admitted losing his team? Yeah, that's working out really well now that his schtick has been seen for what it is. That might have been slightly true a year or two ago, but where it stands now, your team isn't all that scary. As a matter of fact, that last time your team played the Fins.... well, you know how that went. I suspect you're pretty young. Too young to have grasped the pattern that continuously plays out with the Jets. Good thing Kleenex are cheap.
Im not sure why you think the name of the franchise has any bearing on what theyre going to do. The Jets in the past have failed to get the job done, last I checked they didnt have Rex Ryan Revis and the guys that this jet team has. So this year didnt work out, you pick up where you left off and move on. Im not sure why were assuming that coaches regress instead of progress, but I guess as a dolphins fan all youved seen for the last 30 + years is regression so I can understand why you are so clueless.
Perhaps it's because I've heard the same things you're saying coming out of the mouth's of Jets fans for decades... Back in the 70s, Lou Holtz was going to bring the Jets back to the SB. Later, there was all the hype about Parcells doing the same thing. Then Herm Edwards was just what you needed to get to the SB. And then there are the draft picks that still have many scratching their heads... Johnny Lam Jones and his hands of stone. Taking Kyle Brady over Warren Sapp while every Jet fan in the draft audience was yelling "Sapp, Sapp, Sapp." Passing over Emmett Smith and Junior Seau to grab Blair Thomas. Taking Kenny O'Brien over Dan Marino More recently, Vernon Gholston. And that's just an abbreviated list. Since 1970, at best, the Jets have been the organizational equivalent of a gnat buzzing around one's eye. The team has had brief streaks where they were a good team, but greatness has eluded them for 40+ years now. And no matter how you spin the narrative and twist the stats, that truth remains. As for "assuming coaches regress," I don't have to assume it; Rex Ryan did it right in front of our eyes. You went from being a contender for the league championship to being an 8-8 team with no notable accomplishments. So save the speechifying about how Rex is going to bring the Jets to the SB. You had two good cracks at getting there and blew it both times. Now the gilding has rubbed off the foot-sniffer and he's been exposed. You talk about him as if he's a great coach. Great coaches don't lose their team the way he did last year. That's not a sign of greatness; that's a sign of neglect. If he wasn't thinking about his team, what the hell was he thinking about? Honestly, some of you newer fans are completely ignorant of the history of your franchise. The Jets didn't just pop out of thin air 5 years ago. This team has been around a long time, and the long time fans have seen this scene play out before. Folks here call them pessimistic and label them SOJFs but those guys are the real fans. They've had decades worth of reasons to walk away from this team yet they remain. In 10 or 15 years, you and others like you will be telling people you never even heard of the Jets.
