    Cya.

Jacobs said he wanted to be a Giant. Well I'm sure as hell Cruz wouldn't have become the player he was.

You guys need to get over this mindset that Edwards is the best wideout around.....

He did something pretty good but he is not a number 1 or for that matter in the top 20-25 right now in the NFL...

Granted Plax is nothing special but he can do things that Edwards cant just like Plax cant do somethings that Edwards can.

You need to understand a good vet wideout doesnt want to play here unless its about money, this O sucks 60% of the time. Mark doesnt help things either, why is it good free agent wideouts always want to paly for the Pats, Lions, Texans, Saints etc....they dont want to play in San Fran or with us unless its about money.

Fuck Plax. He was lucky to ever play in the NFL again, let alone get the contract he got, and now he's fucking griping? What a piece of shit.

    Who here is saying THAT?

When Edwards was here, he made Holmes BETTER, he made the Running-game BETTER, he made the Jets offense BETTER.

Is he the Greatest WR in Jets History? Hell no! But that's not the point....the point is what he has meant to the Jets O when he was here and the negative effect it had on the O when he wasn't.

Of course not. Nobody is arguing that.

The problem with Plax is that the things he CAN DO like Catching TDs in the Red Zone? If the Jets can't ever GET to the Red-Zone then he's pretty-much worthless as a player for this team. At least with Braylon, he could be a decoy to allow Holmes or Keller or Kerley to catch the TD pass...which explains why he doesn't have more RedZone catches.

Good point. But that said, since no one is going to give Braylon any MONEY, I think he'd like to re-establish his market-value which is currently shit right now. I think his best bet is to re-sign with the Jets and do the "flight boys" thing again.

    Jerricho Cotchery>Santonio Holmes
    Braylon Edwards>Plaxico Burress

We lost heart from those 2 guys. Yeah neither did much this year but when they were Jets, neither were me-first babies. Neither Holmes or Plax would have the heart to do this when the game's on the line.

Fuck it...resign either Cotchery or Edwards and draft Floyd. Maybe someone can spike Holmes drug test results where he gets caught with marijuana and gets suspended for the year.

Drugs are bad for you. Stop taking that cocaine.

FTR, not a soul said Braylon is the best WR like you claim. He was a very good fit with the Jets while he was here, and that's what everybody is saying basically. Get off your high horse.

    ------------------------------------------------

Jets shouldn't have let either of WRs go. Cotchery deserved better, and Braylon's presence was sorely missed.

Not on a high horse, just saying it like it is. Most of you guys act like Edwards was special and he made things so much better. Tell me how good was he on San Fran this year?

Cruz is a slot receiver and Plax lines up wide. If the Giants had signed Plax, he would have been playing Manningham's or Nick's positions when they were hurt and maybe in on goalline scenarios.

Probably would have had no affect on whether or not Cruz made the jump he has. I think the Giants letting their pass-catching TE's leave had more to do with it. Eli needed an inside target.

That's because he DID make things so much better when he was a Jet.

The contrast with him on the team in 2010 and him not on the team in 2011 is STARTLING.
