Ftr I don't think Keller's situation is directly relevant to Edwards's. If they get rid of Keller it will not change or affect what they want to do at #2 wideout. Kerley clearly is set for the #3 as the slot receiver, which is where he belongs next year. Unless they surprise me and conclude they want Burress back at #2, they will have to get someone in there, and it won't be Kerley.

Which means going outside, and imo Edwards would be the best choice there.

He won't be injured come April. I believe he'll be ready to go. :)

And without a wheelchair to help him, too.

Rex did own up to his "mistake" of not knowing what was going on in the locker room so....who knows?

I would rather have to deal with the off the field issues of BE than the on field fiasco that Plax was apart of

I assume this was a reference to the lack of production between the 20's.

Or one of the Jets that won't put their names on critical statements so they don't get "Masoned"..

Honest question - why do people still talk about Braylon Edwards?

He was okay as a Jet, not great. He did nothing last year, and has only had 1 great season in the NFL. What is the fascination with the guy?

Draft Nick Toon. Give him 88, get rid of Turner we all yell Toooooon when he catches the ball, all is happy.

He was a deep threat we seemed to lack this past year, and Tone seemed to play much better when Braylon was here. Also, since Braylon was just cut and his last contract was incentive loaded, people are hoping we can get him cheap and he would become a deep threat/ open Holmes up without breaking the bank. People also like the idea of getting Braylon because him and Sanchez were very good together and had chemistry. That about sums it up I think. He is clearly being overrated by some posters, but he could stretch the field and provide a deep threat and draw coverage away from Tone IF he recovers 100% from the surgery which some think was "minor".

I am open to getting Braylon if we can do it cheap and he can still stretch the field.

He was here to perform between the GL and the 20 and he did that just fine.

But the Jets don't throw deep anymore and it wasn't because Edwards wasn't here.

It's time to move on. This off season is going to be very interesting.

Even if they don't throw deep, you still have to respect Braylon's speed and size and possibly double cover him, leaving openings for Tone. I'm curious, why don't you think the Jets will throw deep next year?

This is why I don't think he'll be back either. The front office for some reason dont want him back.

My vote for yes really means "I hope so!". I'd love to see him back, although I'd be sure to give him a full exam before signing. He may not be the same player he once was, but he could also rehab and become great again. He's still not that old.

You sure? It certainly looked that way this past season.....

Of course...the O-Line playing like ass didn't help(and neither did Holmes and Plax's inability to get separation).

    That's a big assumption there.

But let's say you're correct. Maybe they didn't want him back at the time they signed Holmes to that ridiculous contract....

After what Holmes pulled(and revealed the type of player and person he really is), the Front Office could change its mind.

My vote goes for yes, as long as he is healthy and turns out cheap.
