I live in the area, but other than the asshole husband of one of my wife's friends, I dont run into many asshole Giant fans. I must just be lucky.
Ok, fine. But now, where's the incendiary reaction from the media, bashing Webster for his self-proclamation of something that is completely false? After painfully seesawing my allegiance in this game, I think I've finally decided to choose Team Brady for the following two reasons: 1. I accept the greatness of Brady (?and Belichick). So, as a sports/football fan, I figure I'll embrace the opportunity to witness supremacy, history, etc. 2. If the Patriots win, then the Massholes will celebrate in New England, but at least it'll be out of sight and out of mind. If the Giants win, then the celebration will be a lengthy one in my backyard. Make sure you call in sick on the day of the Giants' parade, unless you won't mind watching the party from the window in your office.
Just to piggyback this idea (i.e. my point about the media's double-standard)... I was watching First Take and one of the "1st & 10" topics was on Webster's comments; and this is the part - the only part - they excerpted to discuss: I have no doubt that if Rex made the comments that Webster made, then they (First Take, the media, etc.) would've focused on ALL of the comments, especially the braggadocious part claiming to be "the best thing out there." But surprise surprise -- Webster's bravado is being ignored.
