So a player said he feels he's the best at his position. Well, that almost never happens!

    Exactly!!!

Don't focus on who wins, rather focus on who loses and dump lots of crap on them for the next 12 months!!!!

Either way we're going to have a team we love to shit on just sitting there with their hands covering their heads. Pile on!!!

Plus if the G-men win, we not only get to shit on the Pats parade we know from History the G-men will tank and not make the playoffs the next 3 seasons.

    Eat your prunes men!!!!!

It's upsetting to read such hatred from the OP towards the Giants. Stuff like that can come back and bite you.

Having gone to college in Boston during the '86 World Series I will never forget the taunts toward New York from the Boston media. Each morning they'd spew a tirade of mockery towards New York so much so that I am not keen to root for a New England time anytime soon.

"New York Sucks and the Mets SUCK" they'd scream over the air and then play the sound of a toilet flushing.

I'm a New Yorker born and bred I will root for the Giants to win the Superbowl.

I don't give a shit what he says. We all know he's not even in the same galaxy as Revis, and I'm sure deep down he knows it too. He was probably just saying that to get himself pumped up. I don't think it was a shot at Revis, but more of a demonstration of his confidence in his abilities. Nothing wrong with that. If he answered, "I don't think I'm as good as some other guys, but I'll do my best," I would consider him a soft bitch. I definitely wouldn't want a guy like that on my team who thinks he's looking up to people.

As others have mentioned, we talked all year long and couldn't back it up. Giants got hot at the right time and here they are.

Let the kid talk and butter himself up. Karma is a bitch, and we of all people know what it feels like.

It seems that if the Giants win, it is going to be alot worse for Jet fans. Giants fans are spoiled cry baby assholes. How many of those people wanted Eli Manning cut and Coughlin fired! Now those chirp at us like we are a bunch of second class citizens, and our team is always been worth nothing. The bad part about this is they live in our back yard. If the Pats win, at least their fans live further away. The last time we played the Pats in the playoffs we beat them. At least we have that!

I guess if I were surrounded by a bunch of asshole Giant fans, I could see the hatred for them. But the Giants are not even in the Jets conference, let alone division. I don't care much about them either way.

But back to the asshole Giant fans - how does that work? You mean at work? You must, because why would you have asshole Giant fans as friends? Or neighbors? Close the front door with them on the other side - done.

Giant fans at work? Tell them to go back to work. Who cares?

    Francessa? Why listen to him?

    I must be missing something.

    F New England.

If you live here you're just surrounded by the shit. Last time I rooted for the Giants and regretted it immediately. Every commercial, every newspaper, everyone on the radio even FM, every newscast, every restaurant, neighbors, there was no getting away from it. And last time I didn't even have Facebook to hear from every loudmouth Giant fan I hated in high school.

I hate the Patriots too but I don't know any of their fans. If I lived up there I'd most likely root for the Giants again.

If Rex can keep saying the Jets are a Super Bowl team Webster can say he's better than Revis.

You know, I never really cared that much about the Giants - when they won their bowls it didn't effect me one way or the other. I usually root for the AFC in the SB, but it didn't bug me too much when the Giants won. However, the last two seasons, when the Jets grabbed a few headlines and had some success, the Giant fans, and players, turned into a bunch of crybaby assholes, suddenly the town wasn't big enough for both of us. And this season, in my experience, their fans have been utter assholes, especially as the Jets fortunes sunk. So screw them. Go Pats.

But I do live in the area, and work in midtown. It's not like I don't notice the asshole Giant fans. I guess I am just adept at not letting them bother me.

That and that I visit up in Rhode Island a couple of times a year, and they have some all world asshole Pats fans up there, no question about it.

So there you go, just in reverse. I go back and forth with the Giants, because we don't play them much, and some really cool people I know are die-hard Giant fans. I mentioned I rooted for them last time vs New England. Problem is we actually played the Giants last, I still have a bad taste from the Christmas Eve game, Giants fans have been a pain in the ass since and there has been no relief. Each week it's just gotten worse. On top of which I don't think they're any better than we are, so why should they get all the glory? We weren't even playing well when we played them and still dominated most of the game from scrimmage, we gave up a 99-yard TD on 3rd down and later a safety which led to the last TD. Now they think they're "big brother" and head and shoulders above us, they aren't.

New England, as much as I hate them, is 29-6 over the past two seasons, they have probably the greatest QB of all time. To me they are worthy of winning the Super Bowl that we've been chasing our whole lives, a 9-7 Giants team is not. I'm tired of their fans and the local media acting like they are, they got here on a Hail Mary and a dropped punt. In 38 years of watching the Jets they haven't gotten as many lucky breaks as the Giants have in the past month.

You are certainly correct that this year is different from 2007, and for some of the reasons you mentioned, most particularly that the Giants had to beat teh Jets to make it in, and the Jets should have won that game. While the Jets lost, and for some reasons that were not to the Giants' credit such as Sanchez running back into the end zone (one of his, even for him, more boneheaded plays), I agree the Giants were hardly the clear better team that day. They also caught a totally flat Packer team - some teams do not take advantage of the bye week, and this year that included the Pack. You can no doubt add some others. The other thing is that the object of not having to hear 19-0 for the rest of time is not on the table this year, either, as it was in 2007. And for myself even if I do my best to ignore asshole Giant fans, I do know they are out there. But...

For one thing I don't care much about this deserved thing. Also, it is with great satisfaction that we can see how the Pats have not won an SB since they got caught cheating. A win this year, and that small satisfaction is gone. And we are after all still talking about a hated division rival. And the Jets won't play the Giants again for four years.

Add it all up, and I hope NE loses, just not as much as in 2007.

The perfect season was another reason I was for the Giants last time. When we lose I carry that hostility and the Giants were one of the last games we played. I was similarly annoyed watching the Ravens roll to the 2000 title and their D lauded as being so great after Vinny put up 14 quick points on them before turning around and giving them that game back, ending our season.

Although I did root for the Ravens to beat the Giants, up to that point I was irritated to see them still going. In this case it's worse because I live here and the Giants are local.

This /\ and its just there fans are so fucking annoying, and it makes life a lot harder for the Jets to win over new fans too, atleast if we play New England next year and beat them twice, we can hang our hats on beating the super bowl champs, we only get a shot at the Giants whenever our teams aren't at their best, we need something
