If Floyd got picked right before NYJ, words won't express how pissed off and angry I would be. Jackson wants a crap load of money and showed how selfish he was last season, which means Reid is going to get his man elsewhere in Mr. Floyd. Considering Reid's sons have been through DUIs before, he is going to be understand of where Floyd's coming from in an interview IMO and Floyd will be a huge target for Vick and a hell of a blocking WR on the outside.

Dear god don't let that happen....only thing worse is if Floyd is a Pat, Bill or Dolphin.

Jets have so many choices, we gotta get a good one WW85....

Upshaw is a great pick here for NYJ :D Would be happy if he made it.

Certainly an interesting pick, I think I could imagine hearing a chant after that pick by Jets fans saying "Sign DeSean!!! Sign DeSEAN!!!".

Floyd is a great pick for the Eagles, extremely physical, still a deep threat, and can help out Vick with the low amount of drops he makes. Definitely a pot stirrer!

There also are plenty of LBs they could get in the second with their two picks. Nice job BakerMaker.

    Upshaw! YAY! hahahaha.

I think if he isnt picked by the Bills (which i think he will) he should be a Jet. Lets hope his named is called draft day!

Even with the great amount of options I think he is the #1 option at OLB for the Jets. There is a certain WR Id also LOVE but in the end I think Upshaw is a really solid player.

Bengals do the deed and end the Kirkpatrick fall.....

He's going to be good for em under Zimmer. Joseph was deeply missed and Hall got IR'd so Dre is right up the alley.

Definitely a good choice, nice strong physical CB who is great is man coverage. Him and Hall should be a nice pair to add to a great young Bengals team.

As much as I like him, Upshaw would have probably been 3rd or 4th on my board for the Jets right there. I'll expand on that once all of the other guys are gone.

    Quick thoughts on the updates.

Baker good pick. I would have gone with a different WR. but i get the Floyd hype. he's gonna be a good one. I don't think he's some kind of slam dunk pick to the Jets if hes at 16.

On the jets pick. I like Upshaw, just not as much as the other OLB's. Upshaw is the safest of the 3 no doubts. But we don't need a young Calvin Pace. we need a pass rushing terror, and the other 2 have a better chance to be that guy in my opinion.

Kirkpatricks fall ends. here's a scary thought, cincy has 2 #1's, could they package them to move up into the top 10? say to # 6 or 7 to go get that richardson fellow? I dunno, but how's that for a young trio? Green Richardson and Dalton? hmmmm.......

Agreed he would have been 5th on mine actually. I like upshaw I really do, but just not for the Jets needs.

Yeah I know which WR your thinking of, just I really want PHI to get a red zone target as their red zone offense is pretty weak.

I am a huge Floyd fan/borderline homer then again so I really, really think he's gonna be awesome in the NFL.

The bengals are ECSTATIC that Kirkpatrick fell to them at 17. He is a great piece to start the overhaul of our secondary, the weakest part of our team as evident in our playoff game against the texans.

IMO (and that of the bengals for sure) a little pot is no reason for such a talent to drop so far. There has been much done worse by other prospects in the past.

As the bengals gm, if all works out and falls into place with our next pick, I would not even consider trading both to move up for Richardson.

I agree it certainly didnt effect Megatron, Gaines Adams, Harvin and Raji too much.

That has to do with the benefit of hindsight. when pick 6 rolls round, and washington is calling, you had no way of knowing kirkpatrick is sitting there at 17 and possibly your other guy is there at 21.

As much as there maybe a better pass rusher still OTC, you don't pass on the talent of Courtney Upshaw.

Tanny and Rex won't pass up CU if he's OTC.

Upshaw has the talent, size and strenght to be very productive in Rex's defense. While not a pure passrusher, Upshaw puts a lot of pressure on opposing offenses and gets to the QB.

Sometimes we get too caught up on only pass rushing, there's more to the defense than just an OLB only rushing the QB.

There were a few other options I was considering, in the end I took the BPA to fill a need.

I really thought you'd take the guy in your avatar as I know you really, really like him for the Jets.

Personally, I don't think the Cowboys would pass on Dre Kirkpatrick (assuming David DeCastro is off the board), so swap the Cowboys pick with the Bengals pick and I think that makes a lot of sense. Janoris Jenkins has shown nothing this week to prove that he should be the 2nd CB off the board.

As for the Jets pick, I'm surprised (shocked even) that WW went with Courtney Upshaw over his boy. Glad you finally wised up.

I think Harvin keeps faking migraines in hopes that they'd prescribe him weed.

I think I answered that in my response.

I'm really a BPA drafter, that's why I love the Kyle Wilson & Mo Wilk picks the last 2 years.

They filled a need and IMO, the BPAs.

Not to speak for WW85 but I think he expects Upshaw not to be at 16, thus liking that other OLB so much at #16.
