I heard they are moving the fences in this season......That should help Jumpstart David Wright's game again and maybe have Jason Bay be anything other than a pile of dung.
Its pretty sad when player feel pressure from a coaches words. As if to say I don't want to do what he is saying. Don't you think that is weak if that causes pressure on the players?
Why should I be glad? He was a dead man walking this year. Now he can bring his red zone field goal machine to NY. ...and you'll want to nail him to a cross before too long.
I think you're very wrong. He is not our HC,but our OC. We have a better group on offense and what they needed was discipline. We don't need a complex playbook.
No one has been able to turn the Dolphins around in recent years, And I see that with coach Philbin, they continue to buck the Peter Principle of head coachig selection in their hiring of assistants. Sparano has shown competence in the past as an OC...his job w/the Jets. So you analogy doesn't hold.
The Jets don't really do discipline though. I don't see that changing too much going into next season either.
He has never been an OC on his own. He had Haley running the O with him in Dallas. As bad as some of you thought Shotty was, I think we took a step back with Sparono. We made it to back to back AFCC games with Shotty, and Sparono has never won a playoff game. I wish we would have gone after someone else.
I never thought it was schotty all that much any way, this past year it was execution and the lack of an Oline. I really don't care who the OC is. I'm just satisfied it is someone that will be able to control the loud mouths. I also don't buy into the "well he failed/succeeded there" so it will be the same here. Every team has different players and systems, which are capable of doing different things. He might work very well for us. Players play hard for him, which they were not doing anymore for Schotty.
I'll just make it simple for you. Under this current Jets regime, were are 2-1 on good/average seasons. If they fail next year, they will be at .500. Then we can start to question things. Your trolling here about the Jets, while your team circles the toilet for another decade is pretty lame. Like i said before,we have a pretty solid core with just a few pieces missing, the dolphins are at scratch again.
I agree that just becasue someone failed /succeeded elsewhere, does not mean the same is going to happen at the next stop. I just can't get excited about the hire at this point with his lack of experience at this position, and his lack of success in general. I don't think the loud mouths were because of Shotty. I think it is a direct result of our coach and his stance on talking. If that does not change, it won't matter who our OC is.
