Will be first shown tonight on HBO at 9PM Eastern and for all the children in the audience who just like to tear Namath apart it would be a good idea to watch and see exactly what he did to make football what we know it as today.

Whether it was being the first major college star to go to the AFL, or the first AFL QB to win a superbowl or the first to own a bar when it was being frowned upon or wearing mink coats on the sidelines he raised the interest in the AFL enough to make it relevant.

    Definitely worth watching.

I cant wait! Other than Curtis Martin, and Joe Klecko, He is the best player and acomplished the most out of any Jet. Gotta always love Joe. He is as big a fan of the Jets as any of us!

Without a doubt! They were all great players. His impact on pro football, was the greatest of anybody on our team.

Great avi, but Curtis Martin hardly had the impact Joe had. I'm a big Klecko fan and 73 needs to be in the Hall. It's a disgrace that he isn't.

Myself and others here are Jets fans because of Joe. Not sure many are because of Curtis. Some could be because of Klecko and the beauty of the Sack Exchange - an extremely brief moment in Jets history.

Other then Joe Klecko? Namath is the best Jet of all-time... There is no other then when it comes to the Jets.

Namath is #1 and it's not even that close,,,, then Curtis, another Hall of Famer (will get in this year),, then Klecko, who it's ridiculous isn't in the Hall of Fame.

Billy Cannon was a huge college star and joined the AFL a half decade before Namath.

I hope they show his hot daughter. Not the ugly drug addict one, though.

Joe Namath was the single reason I grew to love pro football. He was "The Man" in NY.

Years later, after he retired, I had the pleasurable opportunity to work along side him for three days. He was a total gentleman and a total pro.
It remains a highlight in my life.

I worked with Mickey Mantle too. Totally different story.
