No way man, they have a new coach now. Things are getting better. Oh, wait. They always have a new coach.
I really thought Terry Bradway was about the absolute worst when it comes to GM in NFL. Oh wait... I see Jeff Ireland. Hmm!
We hired a kick ass nice coach...Got Great OC and DC... We can only go up... Meanwhile you folks hired Morono (LOL) and have had so much infighting... Whose going in the wrong direction?
We have heard this before. I remember when you guys were so optimistic about "Morono" as well. It's a vicious circle. Truth is we will really never know until the games are actually played.
Don't forget Cam and Saban and Wannstedt and Jimmy Johnson. Miami goes through HCs almost as fast as they go through quarterbacks.
You have no starting QB and your starting HB is reggie bush. And you easily have the worst offensive line in the division. Now I could be crazy, but im pretty sure all of those things are infinitely important. So lets summarize 1) Worst OL in AFC East 2) Worst QB in AFC East 3) Worst Backfield in AFC East 4) All new coaches 5) Worst Fanbase in AFC EAST 6) Coming off the worst record in the AFC East Definitely sounds like an upward trend to me. Odds of Reggie Bush staying healthy next season over/under 25% ?
oh yeah, your HC is proven. right. whos your qb? and as far as in fighting, when the rabbit howls 2 could be written about your reciever. miami isnt going anywhere
I agree with everything except Reggie Bush. I'd love to have him on this team. 1000 yards on 5.0 ypc with a bad offensive line? That's the kind of running back we need.
Woaaaah let's look at this for a second: 1) What's wrong with Reggie Bush? I bet you didn't know he had the highest average yards per carry (5 ypc) among all 1000 yard backs. 2) Worst QB in the East? Statistically Moore was better than Sanchez and Fitzpatrick from a QB rating standpoint. Moore was 12th whereas Sanchez was 23 and Fitzy was 22. He may not be the best, but he certainly isn't some garbage QB 3) I agree with you partially on the line. I think aside from Columbo, we have 4 capable starters including the top left tackle in the game and a promising center after a strong rookie season. 4) Fins were 3-3 in the east with a 6-3 record in the last 9, they finished strong. 5) We have a top 10 defense too. so yeah sounds like an upward trend to me. But we shall see though, hopefully its not the pats that wins the east next year. We got a long way to go to find out Should be fun next year in an interesting AFC East
6 seasons in the nfl, only one of them has he come even remotely close to playing a full season, and that almost full season he still missed/was hurt a little bit. Dont get me wrong the guys immensely talented, but his futures bleak
true true. That is why I think it's important we have a solid second back. Thomas showed potential at the beginning of last year but fell off. Bush certainly ran with agression unlike he ever did in New Orleans though and it was great to see. We can't put all our eggs in his basket, similar to the Jets with Greene
Immaterial. He was healthy last season and ran for 1000 yards on 5 ypc behind a poor offensive line. I.Want.
Games Bush missed over his first 6 seasons. 8, 5, 7, 8, 10, 1 And this year he basically did nothing in 7 games (50 yards or less) He did have several EXCELLENT games this year and absolutely deserves credit for them, but hes not the real deal im 10000% certain of it. Interestingly enough MOST of his yards only came in 5 games (113, 203, 103, 100, 103) so about 65% of his yards in 5 games jacking up his average, while he did dogshit in the other 10 games he played in. 1 Great game then 2 dog shit. Not exactly an impressive track record
I agree that we can't put everything on him again. It may be unfair to expect the same results next year but he proved something this year. He can run with force at times. We need a dependable second back to step up whether it's Thomas or whomever. I was not too happy about having him as the feature back at the start of this past year but he certainly proved alot of people wrong including me. The same could be said about any back on the Jet roster as well in terms of the dependability to carry the workload. We both have question marks at the position going forward, although I think we feel a little bit better, but Greene had a career year as well so we shall see
Well theres no doubt that Bush is a solid change of pace/3rd down back and it was a steal of a trade. But hes absolutely no legit #1 back Thomas on the other hand is a waste and a bust imo tho. McKnight and Powel arent doing the Jets any big favors either, but at least they were middle draft picks and McKnight is doing things on special teams and Powell has plenty of time to prove himself being that he was 4th on the roster last year as a rookie But I still think the Jets gotta draft a back in the near future
yeah man i'm not sure about Thomas either. He missed several games. He had 100 yards rushing in each of his first two games and showed great potential, but it never really amounted to anything after that. Seemed somewhat slow and not as powerful, maybe it was his hamstring issue. As a fins fan, McKnight caught my eye as the season went on. He was a big threat on special teams and a speedy backfield option. I didn't get to see Powell enough to have a fair opinion. I think we both gotta pick up some more backs this offseason
