An overpaid malcontent is not going to move you to the #3 pick in the draft. Just for reference purposes, the Jet's couldn't trade their entire 2012 draft for the #3 pick: http://walterfootball.com/draftchart.php First, second, third this year and probably first or second next year is more likely. Holmes comes nowhere close to two second rounders and a third.
Go through and count the 48 terrible games. You can't find them. I don't remember 09 well but Bengals, Dolphins twice, Colts, Texans, Titans, raiders are off the top my head good games. In 10 I would put pats, bears, texans, lions, browns, steelers, bills x1 since he didnt throw in the second one, dolphins, Vikings, Broncos, Bengals. Those are off the top of my head, but there might be more. Redo the math and see out of 54 games how he has done.
Where do you come up with these wacked out made up statistics? We get your whole fanatical anti-Sanchez thing but give me a goddamn break already with this over the top bullshit. You don't have the success the Jets did for the past 3 years with a QB who played like shit 85% of the time. That's just a really, really dumb statement.
I was half joking regarding holmes. What would his valuation be, -200? Seriously though, thanks for posting that, I hadn't seen that chart. Any idea what the valuation on future picks is? For example: The Vikings are at: #3: 2,200 The Jets have something like: #16 1,000 #47 430 #78 200 So say the Jets want to hit 2,200. If they offer this years first (#16), next years first(?), and this years second (#47) are they close? Do teams value next years first by guessing where it would be, or just taking the middle number (about 1000). Or are future picks heavily discounted (like guess where the team is going to finish and take -20% of their current point total)? I also wonder how player trades get valued in. Now that teams don't have to shell out super-large contracts to top picks I would think they're more valuable than under performing players that might have high numbers from before the rookie payscale was adjusted. Not that I'm thinking of any quarterback..errr...player in particular....
I can't believe half the non sense that goes on in the Jets forum these days. Jesus Christ some of you just sound so stupid and irrational.
Future year picks are degraded a half round for each year in the future. Theoretically very high picks should now be vlaued even higher since they are not attached to enormous cap-crippling contracts. I'm not sure that adjustment was ever made the other way in the charts though. The current rookie pay scale is kind of similar to what the NFL had prior to Peyton Manning's rookie season and I do not recall the charts changing since then.
Trust me I want to keep Sanchez as well. Right now though I think RG3 will be the next Randal Cunningham. He has that great arm and amazing athletic ability to break tackles and run for big yards. I like him as a prospect big time.
42 of his 62 career (regular season + postseason) touchdown passes exceeded 8 yards in distance. In fact, I wanted to see if you were actually basing your retarded '8 yard touchdown passes' remark on some kind of fact. Fact is, Sanchez has only thrown one 8 yard touchdown pass in his entire professional career. Nice job pulling random INCORRECT stats out of your ass, smart guy. You are definitely not qualified to be leading this crusade. Your troops are headed off a cliff. This is classic. Fabricating statistics to try to talk down to people that know more about football than you know about tying your own shoes. The velcro ones.
Dude, you're act is getting old. I know you dont believe it was a "heist". He fuckin sucks. What heist? It was a heist in getting the pick, that is true. But we negated teh "heist" when we picked our piece of shit QB
Even if Sanchez never develops to be the guy we all hoped he was going to be, that trade is still a heist. Who in the hell has ever managed to trade up 12 spots in the first round to draft a potential franchise QB for 1 draft pick? That trade was fucking excellent. Even if Sanchez isnt the guy, you can't bash the move. They went for it, and didnt even have to give anything up to try it. Thats fucking excellent management. They made a great move up to go get him. If they were wrong, they were wrong, but the move to go get a franchise QB when we had to have one, was absolutely fantastic. You want to bash the guy we selected, fine. But don't question the superiority of the move. It was awesome that we pulled such a steal on Cleveland.
Terry Bradshaw . four super bowls. Sanchez is better then him. put a team around him. our only stars are a corner and center.
Talking to him is like talking to a wall. Plus, he really never has any rebuttle to FACTS or when someone calls him out.
Times like these I wish the Ultimate Trash Talking forum was still around, Jetsown22 would have his own section.
