LMAO at the ridiculous notion that hiring Sparano in effect prevents the Jets from going after Manning! Maybe I hsould take junc off ignore after all!

My guess is Sparano would not object to having Peyton Manning as his Qb.

    Heh.

"Hey, wtf is it with this Manning thing? You guys promised me I'd get to work with Mark Sanchez! All my life I wanted to work with Mark Sanchez! Don't you remember me saying that in the interview?"

    Too funny.

This from the guy who would still want Pennington if he could get him. Also, Manning was all the Colts have ever had and defense is all of what the Jets have had under Sanchez. If you really think that 3 of the 4 playoff games that Sanchez participated in were won by anybody other than the defense then go back and look them up again.

the Jets owner also didn't rule out Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers or anybody. Thats what owners say....

Mark Sanchez will be the Jets starting QB in 2012 and for years to come and will lead the Jets to championships

Yeah, he only had top 5 talent around him his entire career(probably more like top 3) on offense and an underrated D that has allowed less PPG than the "great" NE D's in postseason.

The D played really well but even the best defenses(and our D was never great) need quality play from their O and QB to win. W/o Mark we don't win 4 playoff games.

and it's not about whether Sparano would want Manning, it's about the type of offense Sparano was brought in here to install. Sparano was brought in here to dumb down the offense and get Sanchez back on track, if they wanted Peyton they would have talked Tom Moore out of retirement.

    and??

lost 4 of the next 5

getting outplayed by Seneca Wallace, Shawn Hill and other JAG quarterbacks in the process... but he would have demanded to start even if his right arm had fallen off to protect his precious individual streak which was more important to the selfish old douche than his team winning games...

    NO PEYTON

    we made that mistake already

    NEVER AGAIN

For whatever it's worth, I was just watching SportsNation. Cowherd and Kordell Stewart agree that the ideal place for Manning would be Arizona. Good weather, Larry Fitzgerald to throw to, a good head coach, a relatively weak division, a hot team at the end of the year, and a team in need of a veteran leader at the QB position.

    Makes sense.

Yeah, it's really a no-brainer for everybody involved. The Bidwills know that the only reason they sniffed the Super Bowl was Kurt Warner having something left in the tank. They know that Peyton is the most likely option to come in and lift the team again.

The only question is whether or not they are willing to put their money on the line. They paid huge bucks for Larry Fitzgerald and it makes sense to do the same to get him his QB if the guy is healthy and available.

If Peyton Manning gets a good offer from them he's going to be there. Other than Tennessee nothing else is remotely as good a fit for him.

If Peyton wants the SB, then he goes to a team with an elite defense. I don't know their cap situation, but San Fran can pick Peyton up and then get Reggie Wayne(or another top WR) in FA. Assuming Peyton is healthy, they'd be the clear favorites.

Peyton+Fitzgerald is great and all, but Arizona doesn't have a defense.

Because they are overcome by dumbass knee-jerk reactions to a poor season, not just from the QB position, but the WHOLE team. They simply dont understand the term of a team sport. They focus on the QB position and can only see tomorrow, they dont understand that tomorrow’s actions have repercussions on a year or two from now.

No Peyton please. I respect the guy a lot but one man isn't going to change the team around. You have to build a solid core of players first then you start bringing in expensive free agents. Right now our offense needs work. RB, WR, O-line... How long will peyton be good for? 1 or 2 year rental? Have to think long term so we can draft other positions and stop worrying about QB for years.

    The Colts say hello.

They went from SB contenders with Peyton, to a 2-14 team without him. If one man could ever turn a team around, it's him.

No he isn't. U Mad?

I have the utmost confidence in Mark rebounding from the hell of having Schitty as his OC.

LOL before on ESPN some guy was like "Oh hes not going to the Jets because it would make absolutely no sense for him to play in the same city, hes gunna go to a team like the Redskins"

I mean WTF these guys call themselves experts? What sense does it make for him to go to the same division as Eli. FYI Peyton helped Eli all season breaking down defenses. If hes on the Jets he could continue to do that, but the Redskins? hell no
