This is your way of bragging that you lost two AFCCGs, isn't it? Two losses: your greatest accomplishment since 1969. It's a really pathetic argument you're making.
How is stating a fact about the Dolphins 11 plus year playoff win drought bragging about the Jets? Did I hit a nerve? Sports is a "what have you done for me lately" entity. In Miami's case, they haven't done much of anything in over a decade. Hang onto those memories of yesteryear while you still can. -Ed- sent from my mobile device
Here's your problem... you're pointing out how long it's been since the Dolphins have accomplished anything worth talking about, when at the same time, the Jets have gone far longer without accomplishing anything worth talking about.
shouldn't you be getting ready to watch your cheating rotten douchebags play the Giants and not hijacking threads at a Jet message board get lost, already please
I guess it depends on your definition of "worth talking about". I honestly don't know what yours is. To me, making the playoffs is worth talking about since without that a team has zero chance of winning a championship. Winning a playoff game is worth talking about because again, you can't win a SB without winning a playoff game. If you go back and reread what you've posted, you said you don't judge a team's success based on winning Super Bowls. So what does that leave? Season records, division titles, playoff appearances and playoff wins. I know after the Marino years it's hard to accept the fact that the Jets have had more relative success for the past decade. It's a fact and every statistic bears that out. No they have not won a Super Bowl, but they have been far more enjoyable to watch and accomplished more than the Dolphins during that time. -Ed- sent from my mobile device
"March" Sanchez is better looking than either Fitzpatrick or Moore, but the NFL isn't GQ, so he's got to actually perform on the field, as in lead his team. It seems "March" is seriously deficient in that area as attested to the high respect accorded him by his teammates.
how many games did fitz win after getting his contract? after starting 5-0, what was your record? enuff said...now stfu n go shit on a buffalo...
This is more a case of you cannot win an NFL championship without being able to run the ball when you need to. Even the pass-heavy teams of recent years have been able to pound the rock for a drive when that was what they absolutely had to do to maintain control of the game. 1983 to 1985 the Fins could still run over people. That was the window for the franchise to win a Super Bowl with Marino and a good to great rushing attack and they almost managed it. After they went the all-Marino all-day plan they made the playoffs a few times and even got to a conference championship in the early 90's but they were nowhere near good enough to win a Super Bowl. People forget that Kurt Warner had Marshall Faulk and Peyton Manning had Edgerrin James. Being an all-world QB doesn't make your team an all-world team. You still need lots of help for that to happen.
The difference is....... He isn't doing it on some other rival's board to stir up crap and be a prick. YOU ARE.
What a bs point of view. Isn't winning games an accomplishment? Making the playoffs? Winning playoff games? Extending your season? Coming close isn't better than finishing 2-14? What nonsense.
He's just mad because his team's logo is a doofy looking teal dolphin wearing a toy football helmet. Poor guy.
It's like in horse racing. If you only bet to win, then of course if your horse comes in second you lost. But if you bet to place, or show and he came in third, that's a hell of a lot better than if he finished out of the money. Duh.
Yes, it absolutely does matter what your definition is. And as I've explained here before, because Miami went through quite a long stretch where they made pretty regular appearances in the playoffs and always came up short, the notion of simply making the playoffs lost its luster. It became a bit of a joke amongst Dolphin fans... make the playoffs and exit early. After seeing it play out the same way for as long as it did, it became old. Start making the playoffs on a regular basis and your expectations get higher. So from your perspective, making the playoffs is a big deal, but don't expect me to pat you on the back for accomplishing something (making the playoffs and losing) that became very old a very long time ago. Anyway, it's old news. If you were in the AFCCG this year, you could at least argue you're a contender, but you're no longer the runner up for the league title, are you?
I still don't understand why fans of other teams such as the Dolphins and Patriots are on a Jets discussion board...
There aren't a lot of fans of the Dolphins and Patriots on Jets boards. It takes a certain type of individual to derive pleasure from trolling other fans misery and for the most part that's what's going on here. I think I have posted on another team's boards once in my life. That was during the Nick Saban exit fiasco and the only reason I went over to Finheaven to look at it was that some Fin fan came here and guaranteed us that Saban was staying with the Fins. I knew the odds were enormous that he was running away to Alabama and I got caught up in the discussion over there logically refuting their collective position that he was staying. I left Finheaven when I realized that the only thing I was accomplishing there was pissing off Fin fans who did not want to see the truth. There was no point in trolling them at that point.
seriously, posters aren't comparing Mark Sanchez to Mark Fitzharvard or Matt Less just because Bill trolls and LOLphin trolls have showed up here to hijack a Jet message board. Sanchez>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>both of those JAGS combined case closed
