He does however have good size/speed to play safety. Perhaps the Jets consider him and convert him to a coverage safety? Anyone who has watched him. Do you see any transferable safety skills? Wild guess... Rex called in a favor to his dorks in the scouting room. To make a relative of his assistant look good by a team and coach that doesn't think much of 'zone' comers.

well we just took on another coaches son (Soprano's) as an intern so it looks like neoptism all round at the Jets.
