And went to the AFC championship twice from what I've heard around here. But now that he's had a few years to make the team into something, they come up 8-8 and a non-contender. Fizzled. A legend? You've got your timeline backwards again. The legacy creates the legend, not the other way around. A coach with no legacy can't be crowned a legend. Are you sure you want to talk about bad drafts? You guys have had more than your fair share of those. String of bad coaches? Were any of ours worse than Rich Kotite? I don't mind the barbs, but you can't be that ignorant of your own teams history. As for Miami's owner, I'm no fan (I'm no fan of Ireland either). But the guy is willing to spend money and he's trying. That's a lot better than a lot can teams can say.
Unless you just started following the Jets last year you do NOT want to go there. A Jets fan ripping a team because of lack of SB appearances, bad coaches, and blown drafts is pretty funny.
Well I measuring super bowls for relevance becuase otherwise we are like the 31 other teams. Other old time Jets fans probably know relevant vs irrelevant because Jets won in 69 last and you guys 74 last. Not much of a difference to brag about winning a super bowl a lot more recently than the Jets. I'm looking for the end goal, the Jets and Dolphins haven't won since 74 or around then. Division titles aren't really things I would brag about. They are exciting in the time, but nobody goes back and remembers them. I think the Jets are going forward. They went to two AFC championships with a worse Sanchez than they have now. Everything that could go wrong went wrong this season and they finished 8-8. They changed their OC who just didn't fit Sanchez or Rex and brought in one that hopefully does. Rex has already said he is going to change slightly and realize the whole scope of whath e says and how it may affect the offense directly. I am already confident the Jets will play better next year. This actual season we went backwards, but I think offseason we are already moving forward.
When it comes to trolls, it's fine to rip them just for trolling with such a horrible recent history for their team. If I were on a Dolphin or Clevelend board saying, "yeah, my Jets suck but, WE ARE BETTER THAN YOU AT LEAST" It would be a different point and I would seek Help.
You keep spouting the same bullshit. It's not what that we have to show for it, it's the consistency of our team. Okay, we went 8-8 but that doesn't mean we've totally regressed. We had major holes, primarily from players who played well last season but didn't this season. Namely, Pool, Smith, Hunter, etc. it's obvious this team has very real potential to consistently make it to the playoffs. We were 1 play away from it for christs sake, even with ENORMOUS flaws in our team thanks to the ineptitude of Hunter, mulligan, etc. They are holes in our team. They'll no doubt be filled this off season. With a new (and hopefully more competent) OC, with those holes filled, we should have a team that was similar to the 2010 team, with the exception of grandpa Ellis, cripple Woody and Brad Smith. You keep knocking on our AFCCG's then glorify how the Dolphins have been to the SB. You glorify the past when it's beneficial to you, then knock it when it's in favor of the Jets...even though ours is WAY more relevant because we still have a lot of the personnel left from 2010 appearance. Fact is, most other divisions, and the Jets probably finish 1st..however we just so happen to be in a division where the #1 seed lucked into one of the best QBs to see the game at the #6 round draft spot. I also have to just pick apart a giant idiotic statement from you: He said begun his legacy. As in IT'S STARTING. The beginning, he will eventually be one. Was that really so hard to understand?
Then I must be responding to the same bullshit. Two AFC championship game losses and an 8-8 season are hardly a legacy that's going to garner legendary status for anyone, and that's the legacy that poster was going on about. If you and the other genius are going to call Ryan a legend, perhaps you should hold off until he does something exceptional. Even winning a SB doesn't make you a "legend." There's a plenty of coaches with a SB win who aren't legends. At this point, Ryan is a 3-year head coach who had 2 good years followed by 1 mediocre year with a history of making grandiose guarantees that haven't panned out. He's also stated publicly that he's lost his team this past season. Is that your definition of greatness? Stop making him out to be more than he is at this point. If he turns out to actually accomplish something by way of multiple SBs and a era of Jets dominance, then you can go on all you like about his legacy and his legend. But so far, you haven't been to a SB, you're not even the dominant team in your division, and you likely won't be next year either.
you're a troll and your team has sucked, and will suck for years. Good luck finding a head coach for your shitty team.
An above-500 record and a good W-L record in the playoffs. Are you guys still getting blackouts of Dolphins games in South Florida ?
Not this year, ya don't. Dude, I live on Long Island. What the hell do I care about blackouts in Miami?
You're team sucks and you don't have a head coach or a quarterback. Come back and talk shit when you actually have something to hang your hat on - what a joke. Personally I couldn't possibly care less what some douchebag Dolphin fan thinks about the Jets season.
