Sounds like there's a Cruz jersey just waiting for you to slide it on.

  3. Then go over to the Giants board. I'm sick of rude Giant fans constantly gloating and treating the Jets like they are irrelevant and 2nd class.

Damn right we're jealous. If you ask me..there's no shame in it either. Loyal, long time Jet fans have earned the right to envy more championship lucrative franchises.

I despise the Giants, like Favre in '07 the Niners PR handed them a SB trip(along w/ 2 awful calls from the officials) so you are damn right I'm jealous since I have never seen one.

gotta agree here - if it wasn't for the 2 special team blunders the jints are very likely watching the niners - pats.

not gonna say the game was gift wrapped for them but it went a long way in determining the outcome.

Now if it was the jets who benefitted like that.......

Blunders from the other team are ok, that means they outplayed their opponent BUt on the muffed punt the Giants player ran 30 yds out of bounds w/o trying to get back in- that is ILLEGAL then of course they blow the whistle immediately on the Bradshaw fumble. This game was gift wrapped- it's so frustrating to watch our team battle and battle to get to that point and when the Giants get their they just skate to a SB helped by poor officiating.

Let me lay this out so that it's perfectly clear once and for all: among the several reasons I root for the Jets, one of the biggest is because I hate the Giants.

I would rather the Giants won the SB than the Patriots

It's not so much jelousy. I watched the giants game yesterday with a bunch of friends who are giants fan. They were so happy and it killed me because that was us two years in a row. Yet we didn't manage to come out with the win. I don't like the giants never have never will but i think its fueled more by their fans rather than the team itself.

We'll just move this thread on over to the NFL section so all the Giants/Jets fans can pat themselves on the back and feel better than the rest of us.

I don't understand those Jet fans that say they root for NY or root for the Giants if the Jets aren't in it. Not me and yes it's because of the success they have had. The only time i have rooted for them to win is when it has benefited the Jets and in the lat Super Bowl. If those situations don't apply I generally don't care what they do but we have been trying to win a Super Bowl for 40 + years and this is the second time the Giants have been on the brink of mediocrity and missing the playoffs and then go on this crazy run. For that reason I have been actively rooting against them in these last two runs.

I"m rooting for the Giants to win and congratulate them on their success. Who cares about holding grudges? what are we in High School?

It's a game, they have an excellent organization, great philosophy, they have put together a good team.

In regards to getting breaks, all teams get some kind of breaks during the post season, The Jets benefited from missed FG's when they played the Chargers a couple of years ago, it happens.

missed Fgs are player errors, the non call on the first muff whent he giant player ran 30 yds OOB w/o trying to get in bounds was a ref error along w/ the extremely quick whistle on the Bradshaw fumble.

Not 100% sure on the rule, but since the 49ers player touched it first, then the Giants player wasn't the first player to touch the ball, therefore not illegal. I believe you have to be the first player to touch the ball upon re-entering play in order for it to be illegal.

So what, how many holding calls are missed or not called on the offensive line during games?

It was a great game, c'mon guys, this is getting silly, give them credit for what they have accomplished, going on the road and beating the Niners and the Pack.

holding is a subjective call, a gunner running OOB form 30 yds isn't and Bradhsaw fumbling isn't. There was also a play where Osi lined up literally a yd offside and they missed that.

I credit them for taking advantage of the breaks, that's what good teams do but they never should have had that chance, the muffed punt never should have happened if they make the proper call and even thought hey missed that if they get the call right on Bradshaw's fumble the game is likely over at that point.

I still think he has to make an effort to get back on the field but you could be right.
