The Pats played and won seven games against 8-8 teams. Had just one of them won one more game over the course of the season they would have beat a winning team. The Pat's opponents just had a weird distribution of wins, that is all.
Nah, Niners are a much better version of Baltimore. Plus they appear to have more discipline except Williams who should be euthanised by Nazis. Giants Pats. accept it. They got there because better teams were mangled into oblivion by morons.
hey Aikman, until last week you could've said Smith's running ability went unnoticed. You can stop saying it now, after he had that bootleg TD last week.
You couldn't be any more wrong. If the Pats win its ho hum the Pats win another SB. If the Giants win its OH MY GOD THIS TEAM WAS LEFT FOR DEAD WITH 2 WEEKS LEFT IN THE SEASON. Then they beat the might Falcons, and the Packers and 49ers on the road. Then the Pats. Oh man what an amazing team!
Well they barely beat that team, and they were facing them when they didn't have all their defensive players and blackburn was playing his first game of the season. The giants were hot and playing much better than the previous game. The packers were unlucky to face the giants. There is nothing wrong to say a team got lucky. A WR dropped a game winning td pass and then a kicker missed a game tying field goal. I would say the Pats got lucky and they took advantage. I don't understand why you are so against saying a team can get lucky.
Okay, true. It's luck. But the Giants have got to this point by having a solid team, not by plays like that. And this isn't the Saints game anymore. Giants are holding strong against Niners D without any embarrassing turnovers and even with Manning getting sacked into the fossil layer.
I know that stat, but if that team beat the Pats, the Pats still wouldn't have beaten a winning team. The Pats played the teams in front of them, and took advantage of playing an out of place Broncos team. There is nothing wrong in saying the Pats got lucky to face the Broncos. Luck means nothing if you don't take advantage which the Pats did.
The Giants suck dick. They've played some good games this year but they're pretty far from a "solid team". It's really a shame the Saints defense is so historically bad that they couldn't stop Alex Smith twice in the space of 3 minutes because Brees in the dome would hang 60 on this slapdick Giants defense again.
Quick 3 and out by the 49ers defense. Also, I think everyone has a negative connotation for the word luck. For me it just means getting some bounces then taking advantage of it. Luck means nothing if you don't take advantage of it.
