SOJF should realize that they are cursed and that Ryan Mallett will be the #1 QB in the NFL in 5 years.
If you'd asked this question in 2000 the answer would probably have been: Peyton Manning Daunte Culpepper Kurt Warner Brett Favre Donovan McNabb In fact only Manning and McNabb were still considered top 5 talents when 2005 rolled around. Culpepper's knee was blown out, Favre had hit a pothole in the road and had his worst seasons in 2005 and 2006, and Kurt Warner had gone from triggering the best show on turf to not starting a full season from 2002 to 2005 and missing most of two seasons in the process. I'm pretty sure that however you draw up the list of top QB's right now about 50% of them won't be by 2016.
Nice catch. You're right. I meant Sam Bradford. Sam Crawford was a baseball player for the Detroit Tigers back in the days when Ty Cobb was playing. Don't know why I wrote Sam Crawford instead of Sam Bradford. Funny how your brain works or doesn't work sometimes.
Crawford was an excellent baseballer back in the day. I am sure to be wrong, but here are my picks- Cam Newton Aaron Rodgers Robert Griffin III Matthew Stafford Josh Johnson Josh Johnson is a wild card. Coming out of small school San Diego he was very raw when he entered the NFL. I believe he will be a good starter for somebody by 2012 or 2013.
I just find it funny a lot of people are big on Stafford, but not so much flacco/ryan/freeman/sanchez or any of the other young qbs. Personally I think Staffords not so much as talented, as he is a beneficary of Megatron
You see Sanchez against us in the last game? Every single one of those picks were garbage... Why would people be big on Sanchez? Flacco can be very shaky at times and completely blows in the playoffs. Freeman - Bucs 4 wins this year Ryan - 0/3 in the playoffs... Your 4 QBs you mentioned have serious flaws...Stafford is only his injury potential...
Luck, Stafford, Ryan, Newton, and Rodgers (although Rodgers will only have another year or two after that)
