You mean the irony of a Pats fan(of all people) pointing out the irony of sg3 posting about half-baked clowns? How very interesting.....
The hostility is there because you don't suck golden boys dick AND swallow. With him you have to suck, cup, and swallow. Forget to do just one of these and you are a fucking ignorant douche bag troll who should just kill yourself. But don't worry, if you find yourself in this situation just agree wholeheartedly with sg3 that the golden boy will win at least 3 Super Bowls in the next 8 years and you will be viewed as a football genius.
I don't like anyone, regardless of what their opinion is, who insults, degrades, and exhibits hostility to other people like he does whenever someone dares to say anything which he doesn't agree with. People who behave that way, especially when discussing a game, should expect the same kind of treatment in return.
Feel free to attack the post or the ideas, but when you attack other posters you're crossing the line. Understood? Good.
You don't have to "gather" anything "from the press". You just have to watch Sanchez play against good defenses, especially 3-4s that disguise their fronts. He struggles. He holds the ball too long. He doesn't recognize blitzes fast enough. He doesn't throw downfield very often. He checks down too soon and too often. He misses open receivers (doesn't see them). He doesn't hit receivers in stride very often. He throws behind receivers too often. His INTs too often aren't on Hail Marys but the result of throwing late. Conversely, Sanchez will suck for most of the game and then suddenly come alive late when defenses start playing prevent defensive schemes that call for them to play off receivers, sacrificing yards to prevent scores. These are all signs of a QB who can't read defenses. He's not understanding what he's seeing on the field. After 50+ starts, he should be much better at this than he is.
It' true though. Eli, Rodgers, Brady, and Brees have a 26/34 for 350 yds and 3-4 TD's like it's nothing. Cam has done it. Sanchez rarely if ever even flashes a game of this caliber.
Guy sucks period get him out of here already. We can get the same or better production from so many qb's.
SO he sucks at basically everything???? HAHA i'm not even the biggest Sanchez supporter but spare me dude.... also you've probably seen him play only a handful of times with your black and white T.V. in Catt County. If you put tin foil on the antenna it sometimes comes in better, you should try that.
Mark has had elite performances. However, all of them have come against bad teams and/or bad defenses. I think it is obvious that it is going to be Mark Sanchez or Peyton Manning as the qb of the NY Jets next year. If it is Sanchez, Leberfeld had some good points. And the one about Pace was most interesting. But to be fair, Pace sucks ass as well. He was brought in here to get to the qb, and he simply cannot do that with any sort of consistency. Either way, this is just today's version of the same story we have gotten every day. Sanchez might not be the guy, the locker room might dislike Sanchez, the offense sucks, etc...
Well said. Only thing I would add is that he also cant throw outside of the numbers. People here are just blind homers when it comes to Sanchez. But the guys game resembles a guy that should have never been allowed to play qb in HS, let alone a guy that was the top QB coming out of HS, the starter at SC, the 5th pick in the draft, an NFL starter. It is baffling to me how the guy we watch every week ever accomplished all those things when he clearly cannot play qb at any elevated level of competetion.
The Bills didn't have a good pass defense. In fact, they sucked: no pass rush and their DBs aren't good enough to chase receivers all over the field for 7-10 seconds. They were exactly the kind of team that mediocre QBs like Sanchez look good against and against which they pad their stats. Did you enjoy Sanchez' play against the Ravens? He was totally clueless against that defense. What about against the Giants and the second Carpies game down the stretch when all the Jets needed to do was "win-one-and-it's-playoffs"?
