How do you think Rex and Manning get along? Rex is pretty much hands off...so it might work.

LMAO. Don't ask you why? Man, that is so MYSTERIOUS. Do you work for the Colts, or are you Adam Schefter's limousine driver?

Again there are too many variables with Peyton though.

    How serious is his injury?
    Is he going to retire?
Will the Colts trade him ?
How much money will he want ?

I think simply you have to plan your team to win as best as you can for the talent that we have.

We can't say ok were gonna go all in on Peyton (especially this early) then find out hes retiring, then what ? We have an offense thats completely discombobulated, and our young franchise QB suddenly finds out that we went all in to replace his ass this offseason and hes our consolation prize.

If you thought our locker room was bad this year, just imagine how bad it would be after something like that

Dont get me wrong, I understand the variables that come with trying to get him, but this GM and owner have proven time and time again when they want someone they do whatever it takes to get him.

In my personal opinion if we wanted Manning and planning to go all out and get him we'd be hiring a guy like the OC of GB for big bucks or Hue Jackson or a big time OC that is more pass oriented then run. Just my personal opinion.

Of course youd have to plan to win with this team the best we can but lets just say we hire one of those OC and we simply say hey we are looking to break out Sanchez's game. Its almost like a sign of encouragement then youd turn around and go all out for your guy. Obviously theyd keep it hush hush, GM can do that, no matter how big the player.

Im just saying we haven't showed any signs we want to change this team and bring in a major passing attack, its still early, but usually the beginning of the off season tells a lot about the direction we want to go in.

I dont think the OC had anything to do with Manning. The Jets are heading into next season thinking Sanchez will be their QB. I dont think it wouldnt matter who the OC because Peyton would be calling the shots.

Common misconception, no matter how good you are at QB there is still a coach calling your plays on offense. Look at Brady and his OCs and mentor, he turns to them for support and play calls. As does Rodgers with Joe Philbin, and plenty of other QBs.

Well first off unless Sanchez is retarded if we started bringing in all OC's who specialize in spread passing offenses, I think he would be able to connect the dots.

And unless theyre going to rebuild a spine for him, theres only so much they can do. Or hell if the Colts end up paying his bonus, and end up demanding a 1st round pick for him then what?

Alot of the things for Peyton are out of our control. And we all saw with Asomugha way way back several months ago that big time free agents can blow up in your face and screw your plan up.

I personally dont think hes will end up here, but at the same time I dont think theres anything out there that eliminates us from the Manning sweepstakes

Sparano can adapt to a passing OC. I dont think its that difficult. It should help our run game to because most teams wiill be playing for the pass leaving less mean in the box, which would open up room for our RBs.

Trust me I dont want him here either, I still think he has 1-2 good years left but I want to stick with Sanchez, I think he can win a Superbowl with this team.

His whole entire journey reminds me of Eli so much its not even funny.

    - Both have an up and down first 3 years, most of the fanbase want them gone.
    - Very similar stats and records, Sanchez actually has had more success playoff and comeback wise.
-Eli was thought of as a nervous turnover machine who was lead by a strong D, just like Sanchez.
-Many called both non leaders and not vocal in the locker room. Said to be "lazy"
-A big time runningback threw them under the bus and made it look like the werent exactly the "Answer" for that team

The only difference is Eli has had a lot more years in the NFL and his team didnt give up on him, resulting in a Superbowl. I believe Sanchez can do the exact same and when we look back on these things we will think of our past thoughts as silly and overemotional , just like the Giants fans did after they won with Eli.

Kinda off topic I know but I support Sanchez big time and wanted to make that clear.

For me the Peyton saga is all about how long will he play, and what can we get for Sanchez. If Peytons coming here for 1-2 years I dont want him at all, unless Sanchez is actually willing to sit behind him and learn for that period (dont see this happening)

If Peyton is willing (and abled) to play for another 4-5 years then I think you got to do this move, especially if we can trade Sanchez in the process (this guy is EASILY worth more than a 2nd round pick, imo a late 1st, or a 2nd + 3rd or 4th) thus in the process drafting our future qb, while having our future qb + McElroy learning behind one of the all time greats)

Anything that involves Peyton for short term and losing Sanchez for nothing is just a diaster that will set this franchise back many years.

So this could easily be a great thing, or complete disaster

IMO Peyton isnt going to play 4-5 years. I just dont see it. How many QB’s play until they are 40? And thats without significant injuries. Now you add in 3 MAJOR neck surgeries and you’re lucky if you get him for a full year.

He is literally one hit away from retirement and huge neck problems for life. I fear that if we somehow get Manning, that we are setting this franchise back at least 4 years. Its just not worth the huge risk.

Interestingly enough of the main contenders for Peyton

    1) Colts- They are losing EVERYONE in that organization, their DC decided to retire today so yeah that doesnt look likely

    2) Redskins - Sound like a favorite to land Matt Flynn now

    3) Denver- Tebow got them a big playoff win, enuf said. And apparently he was "severely injured" in that playoff game @ NE so the loss "wasnt his fault"

    4) NYJ - People are not directly answering the "Do we want Peyton" question

Seems that as of today the Jets should be a whopping favorite in the Peyton sweepstakes
