Why would the Cowboys, or any other team for that matter, trade for a slow, over-the-hill, trouble-making WR? The only recourse the Jets have with holmes is to release him outright.
He's become the new (albeit smaller & less talented) T.O. Who the hell would trade for Holmes right now, knowing the JETS need to dump him...... and that's not even taking the monetary / cap implications into consideration. :sad:

Maybe you haven't realized this yet, but Sanchez is the basis for most problems. The games we lost, we did so because he either could not make plays, turned the ball over, or was so bad that at some point the defense just gave up. Holmes tore this locker room apart because Sanchez was incapable of getting him the ball. The line was bad because Sanchez could not get rid of the ball quick enough and forced them to hold their blocks for 5+ seconds on every play. The anonymous sources bashing this team all identified him as part of the problem. Peyton Manning is an issue because of Sanchez's play. So, again, Sanchez is relevant to almost every conversation. And pointing out that he is the problem is the sane thing to do.

Wow, you're really on fire lately. What else can we blame on Sanchez? The lack of a pass rush? Poor special teams play? The tanking economy? Global warming?
Considering how badly the Sanchez/Holmes relationship has become, I just can't see the Rams wanting their young, franchise qb to pair up w/ Holmes also.
The offset provision is interesting, but what incentive would Holmes have to sign for significant money if it means he's earning the same money just from a different organization? Theoretically, he can go sign cheaply for a year in New England, pad his stats with Brady, collect from the Jets & set himself up for a big pay day next year. I don't see many teams offering him a big contract with loads of guaranteed money coming off of this season. Obviously, trading him ASAP makes sense, but is there a team willing to take on his $15.25mil guaranteed?
