I have followed the jets for 26 years now and never come within touching distance of winning the Big One in all that time.

If getting Manning in here would get us over the hump then I would do it in a heartbeat.

That said I dont think it will happen.

The Cardinals are not the Royals or Mets. They have money to spend and have to spend it. Go look up Larry Fitzgerald's contract info. This is the NFL- not baseball.

They are one of the small market teams that spearheaded the lockout. If you remember this is the same team that charged sky high prices for seats and cared less if the stadium was 80% empty because Phoenix would make up the difference. Even if they do have the money which I doubt it seems reasonable to think they don't want to spend it.

I would love Peyton to be a Jet but this is just sad. I don't really want to see him in a diff uniform

Just because it may not be a good option doesn't mean it isn't an option.

There is that. Then there is also that I don't want to tear apart the cap situation and the longevity of this team. And also throwing away ***potentially*** our most valuable asset in the process, (Sanchez).

    Sanchez is the best option

See I don't know what to make of statements like this. Sanchez was average last year, that's for sure. What's more sure is that the o-line was bad and Schotty was worse. Manning is a bad idea. Do you guys remember his last year in the league? I remember it ending in a playoff loss where he was outperformed by a certain other quarterback.

Should start hearing news now if the Jets are truly interested.

this will be a contest to determine which team is dumb & desperate enough to risk the franchise future on a 36 y.o. qb w/limited mobility, who's had 4 neck operations and who hasn't played in over a year.

Once when hes technically cut and is a free agent then the Jets can say it without getting in trouble. Hes just got to show up on the waiver wire.

*Begins praying he doesn't go to the Dolphins*

I would guess Miami but San Fran might be an option also. They have a ton of cap space and no qb. Would be kind of ironic lol
