I went with Hightower for the Steelers, a great ILB with solid cover skills, excellent ability to stuff the run and blitz, and has the potential to eventually replace Harrison at OLB. Not as flashy as I wanted it to be with Burfict! , MG -__-, but its still a solid pick IMO with no solid OLineman on the board.
Still is a nice pick up, I like a certain Spartan a bit better as a run stopper but Still has had a great career at Penn State. Hed be a solid run stopper for the Broncos.
I think Hightower would be the best overall fit for the Steelers anyway. They need a versatile player, much more then an impact player (which he could turn out to be down the road for them). They already have a couple of those on defense.
Looking at Texans fans, they want Jacoby Jones head on a platter(Can't blame them) and they get themselves a nice young prospect in Sanu as a future No.2 on the team. Schaub will enjoy him....Jones has blown too many chances.
Really hope the Pats do not take Ingram, but he has the versatility to go 4-3 or 3-4 depending on what the Patriots do (he is a little short, but still can play either). Either way he can get to the passer and do some damage
Sanu is a great pick for the Texans. Hed fit into their Offense perfectly, great run blocker, smart kid, possesion WR, can go over the top, him and Andre would be a dangerous combo. Texans Jets AFC Championship game??
That would be crazy. Battle of defense. Floyd will show Sanu how to get it done however. :breakdance:
Well I had Nick Perry to the Pats but was beaten to the pick, so same player, different team. Perry opposite Matthews is scary.
I like Burficts intensity on the Steelers, it fits so well. But the versatility aspect of the pick is why i made it so good call there. They need an ILB now and OLB later , he could very well do both and fit in at both spots throughout the season.
Got it. Went with Barron. Pollard is not starting material and with no ILBs or OLBs left on the board the Ravens get Barron. With Reed retiring soon the Ravens need to add a young safety into the mix, Barron comes from a great pro style D and should fill right into the run stopper/ zone coverage role.
If the pats ended up with Ingram and Brockers that late I'd kill myself. Luckily Brockers should be long gone by that point come draft day.
Brockers is still very raw, Id be surprised If he gets picked in the first over guys like Worthy or Ta'amu
I agree that he is still very raw and probably hold have went back for his junior year but he just oozes potential and I believe someone will fall in love with him and make him a first round pick. If we're talking projectability, depending on what system he ends up in, he is in my opinion one of the top 3 defensive talents from this draft in 3-5 years. It will not happen right away though.
I certainly agree that he eventually will be one of the better DTs coming out of the draft but I just dont buy into him being a first rounder yet. I like Worthy a lot more and I dont think Brockers will be an immediate force in the middle, something the Pats will need going into next year.
