They do they do, but sometimes they make very off the wall choices. I think they still need to replace Spencer, that certain player would be perfect across from Ware. But I agree they have bigger needs.
Its a no brainer if he is there, I could see him goign earler. Jets grab Floyd. I was torn between him and anotehr prospect, but went with a long term answer at wideout.
lol Yea, I was really hoping someone else would step in, I was waiting for the Cincy pick, but I'm an impatient prick lol.
I think Malcolm Floyd has all the tools and intangibles to be elite in the NFL. With that said.. He scares me for the Jets pick. lol
Whoaaa I am surprised you went Floyd. Certainly not a bad choice by any stretch, him and Holmes would be an awesome combo. Hes very much like Braylon but younger and more of a redzone threat, hed fit in very well. Good mix up choice besides the consensus pick.
lol I agree, I had three guys at that pick that I could have taken for the Jets and not looked back. Floyd won out. With a new offense coming, at least Plax probly out going receiver wise, the Jets needed a new start. His upside is too good to pass at 16 as this fell out.
He does have huge upside. I just think it would be bad timing bringing him in here, he has made a lot of bad choices in college. Do we really want to bring in another potential "distraction"? I'm not saying he will be, he has seemed to clean up his act. Then again, a lot of WR's clean up their act for awhile, then their true colors come back out later on down the road. My biggest concern with Floyd is his durability issues, I think a lot of people are over looking that fact. He has been injured in some capacity almost throughout his entire college career. Just concerning, good change of pace pick though.
Was waiting for someone to pick for the Bengals but I went ahead and picked for them to get this sped up. Alfonzo Denard is the best CB on the board and the Bengals are in huge need of that position. With two first rounders they shouldnt reach but Chicago and the Titans are a threat to pick one up.
i hear ya. He's going to be the Marshall in our Offense and by that I don't mean he's around to act crazy and get fines. Big, strong runner after the catch with good hands who can threaten deep. This pick says two things: 1) we need to get back to deep passing to compliment our runnign game. 2) Sanchez gets his new start, with new coaches and new talent to make it work. Its gettign to become put up or shut up time for Mark, Rex, and the rest of this offense. Can Sanchez continue to progress, is Greene a true #1 style back, can Sparano lead an offense? Lots of questions to be answered so I'm giving them a tool to help figure it out fast.
I selected Upshaw for the Chargers. I think it will be kind of a steal at that point. Chargers should be thrilled to have him if he gets that far.
Dont forget he is actually a very good run blocker. WR is one of the more underrated needs on this team that many dont point out so I am glad you did. I would consider him a steal at 16 to be perfectly honest, many scouts think of him as the second best WR in this draft, if it wasnt for suspensions hed definitely be locked into that #2 spot IMO. Upshaw would of been a good pick but its always good to go away from the regular trend.
Thats part of the Rub with him. I'm not able to interview him about his past troubles with drinking and what he's doing about it today. I'm basing this off football talent alone and not that red flag. As for injuries, thats a more valid concern to me. I think he can step in and start at a high level from day one. That to me makes up for a injury risk that. If not for the Injuries and drinking problem Floyd is a top ten pick IMO.
I am brewing up an interesting pick for the Steelers when i am allowed to pick again. Hopefully it makes sense with everyone else.
Floyd and Jeffery both have huge upsides and red flags. This may be a very good draft to get a receiver in round two and let otehrs worry about them lol.
