It's all very well noting that these guys are better than we have, but we need to balance that against whether we can afford to let our guy go and whether there is better value available elsewhere in free agency.
I'd be intrigued by Paul Soliai and Kendall Langford, and maybe Vernon Carey (too old). Other than that three, I'd pass.
Yeah, I think part of the reason Brick gave up a lot of sacks this year was due to having to be mindful of both his and Slauson's assignment. Does anyone know how bad Moore's hips are? He had surgery last offseason and was reinjured them towards the end of this season, right? If we bring Carey in, maybe he can play LG and Slauson moves to RG if Moore's injury is of great concern.
Again there will be a huge turnover in personnel..the players who thought they were anon will be outed...we will move on but the phins talent is as good as ours except at cb rb green/bush lt ferguson/long wr holmes/marshal te keller/fasano nt pouha/soliali these are just a few where imo the phins are better
Lets not forget SPARANO benched Henne 2 out of 3 years (only reason he didnt get benched in the third years is cause he was hurt) Id be suprised/pissed if he ends up here
those are exactly my three and since zero of them is a free agent or remotely available, I'd vote to pass on the rest
Oh hell yeah. Fasano blocks at least. Keller cannot. Since both disappear in crunch time, their receiving ability is on par with each other.
coaches are a little different than players. at least in my eyes. other than shula, he can go get fucked by a mule.
now thinking back about it... jimmy johnson and dave wannstedt can take sloppy seconds and thirds when the mule is done with shula. yeah screw them too. i dont know its just different with sparano for some reason, maybe it was cause he wasnt there that long, maybe its cause he sucked for the entire time he was there, maybe its cause he is going down in position... maybe i am just getting soft. although jason taylor can drink the mule spew out of all those other 3 guys rears.
I've always liked Langford since he was at Hampton and wanted us to draft him in 08, but he'd probably be too expensive.
We can probably pay him in diamond earrings hidden on the field like an Easter egg hunt. Give him 30 minutes to find as many diamond earrings as he can, and whatever he finds, he can sell. There's your salary, Kendall.
Carey should have never been moved to guard. He was a good RT. he would be a decent stopgap choice at RT although maybe his age played a factor in that move.
