Believe me you don't want him but not surprised to see Sparano go after him. The Dolphins fired him after 2010 season and replaced him with the WR coach.
Please no Lee. If you cant do anything for Henne, who was a decent qb prospect, you are not very great at your job. Just hire Pennington. You will have a guy who knows what he is doing, is connected to this team, and can one day become the OC and HC.
You have to look at the entire body of work. Pennington did well. Moore did well. Romo did well. Henne did not (in two years, no less). Tell me, which do you think is the exception? Why is nobody bringing up the fact that Lee was the QB coach for Dallas in 2005-2006? 2006 is the year Romo got the starting job, so I think he can be given at least some credit for Romo's development. It's interesting to note that Haley and Sparano were on the offensive staff in 2006 as well. I don't think anyone here would mind having the 2006 Dallas offense to go with the defense we already have.
AdamSchefter Adam Schefter Ole Miss OC and former Dolphins QB coach David Lee has accepted the QB coaching job with the Buffalo Bills, Chris Mortensen reports.
I am taking this as good news, but not because of how I feel about Lee. It could mean the Jets told him, we're going with Haley so you won't be needed. If not, it also means the Jets "backup plan" is no longer there and they'll need to push even harder to get Haley.
I think choice one is the right one. Haley is having an extensive meeting with the coaching staff today and from what I have read, he has his entire attention on the Jets right now. This makes me believe they are just working out the kinks before the signing. I just don't see them letting a potential candidate go some place else, unless they had a reason. This reason being Haley will sign.
