Overall nothing was said that really was surprising. Kept on saying how things needed to stay in house and if someone called him saying he made those comments about Sanchez that they would have a talk about. Sounded really strong about the points of believing in Mark and saying he is a hard worker. Didn't say anything bad about Schotty or Callahan. Said he believed in Rex. Said McElroy shouldn't have said what he did and it has to be taken care of in house. Also said he didn't get a feel that people didn't care about winning, and if they didn't he didn't want them on his team. Said Rex didn't lose pulse but problems are overlooked when you win and brought up when adversity happens. Sounded very smart and on top of what is going on. Sounds like he is determined to fix things. Dodged question about having an idea who it is that said those stuff.

Stop it. This is TMKS not the Fatcesser show. They aren't that bad.

LaGrecca does a good job on the pre-post games shows and Kay always plays devils advocate. I've heard him bash the Yankees plenty of times even Joe Torre got killed by Kay a few times. He's your typical media type looking for reaction on the phone. The difference is they aren't Jet haters - they just play both sides of the fence enough to get callers irritated....and you.

You're right. How foolish of us.

Well he couldn't exactly say HOLMES was the culprit without any proof, could he?

Even though it would make complete and total sense.....

Kay hates Joe Torre personally which is why he would bash him, Kay knows nothing about football.

I know that, man. I wasn't crapping on you. :)

I'm just thinking as to why he dodged the question and offered my opinion on it.

No, I'm just saying that all of the questions he asked, were the perfect diplomatic answers. I'm not saying I think that he doesn't believe what he thinks about Sanchez. However, all of the other questions that he answered didn't sound as sincere (schotty, coaching, etc).

He didn't need to do the interview or say anything on twitter if he agreed with the comments. Clearly he took issue with them and made it a point to backup his QB.

and I didn't say he wasn't telling the truth about Sanchez. Learn to read. He was asked about other things than Sanchez.

You're obviously implying that he's giving canned responses. Again, he wouldn't have said a thing if he didn't take exception.

Let me know when your reading lessons are.

How telling is it that one guy has come to Sanchez's defense publicly. One. And, with Mangold, you get a sense that he would do that for any of his teammates.

Lets see Revis, Harris, Brick, Greene, Cro, Jimmy, Pouha, Pace, etc.. do the same..

Heck, where is his boy Keller?

and again, I said it at the end of the interview while he was being asked about about all the other stuff. Also you quoted my second post which I made myself clear. Whatever, you can say I implied whatever you'd like.

Its also telling how the people to criticize him do it anonymously through the media. You are reading too much into this and trying to fit your agenda. He had an interview, gave a good interview and gave the answers we expect from mangold. If anything this shows some things since O linemen never talk and Mangold has never been vocal via the media before.

He wouldn't have gone on Michael Kay to say what he did if that wasn't how he felt.

The easy move if he thought Sanchez was the issue was just to sit back and hope nature took it's course after the wolves showed up at the edge of the clearing.

Instead he went out of his way to go on Kay and support and defend Sanchez and the team. That's outstanding leadership.

It's easy to pump your fist when things are going well. When you show up as accountable and ready to fix things when they are going sour? That's when the men separate themselves from the boys.

-Wayne hunter backs Sanchez, says calling him is cowardly.

-Player on offense said mark will handle this fine, has majority of support in lockerroom

Keller/Hunter other players will speak tomorrow.

LeonNYJ said that Mangold obviously wasn't going to say what he really feels. My answer to that is why not? It would be much easier for Mangold just not to have gone on Kay in the first place. Then no need to say anything.

Given that reality I'm going to take what Mangold says at face value. He had no incentive to go on Kay and lie to protect Sanchez if he thought Sanchez was the issue here. Quite the opposite in fact.
